Today was a lovely day to be in Northumberland. Bright sunshine and a gorgeous drive up to Craster. The Jolly Fisherman was great-lovely decor and views over the sea and harbour. I had delicious crab cakes with "proper" chips. All served on what is becoming a bit of cliche-mini frying basket and wooden board-but delicious. Friendly service and fair prices.... More

Fabulous, fresh fish and seafood in a lovely pub/restaurant. We ate twice here - once in the bar area near the open fire and once in the Upper Deck with it's wonderful views over the harbour and (if you sit in the right place) Dunstanburgh Castle. Both times the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the service friendly and... More

We have visited this pub on many occasions over 10 yrs and is in the most perfect location. I must congratulate them on their refurb and new stunning menu, much of it fish based which you would expect in Craster. But non fish eaters do not be put off. After having tasty crab sandwiches on Sunday, we sampled the restaurant later in the week. It was a lovely sunny evening with wonderful views from the table over a high tide. Food was very good with attentive service. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Whilst staying with a friend in the area we also ate lunch here during the May Day weekend and had a different experience. The pub/restaurant was very busy but we had a table inside with a panoramic view of this beautiful coastline on a fine sunny day. Service was not instant but nothing like the delay mentioned by Julia S.... More

I have been visiting the area on a regular basis with my family for many years and a refurb of The Jolly Fisherman has been long overdue. So I was delighted, on a visit over the May Day weekend, to see this had happened and was under new ownership. We sat in the sunny beer garden overlooking the sea after... More
