Party of six had a meal there, could not fault the food, decor, and service. Menu was just right not too much on it just enough to pick from. Seafood was lovely, fish pie and mussels especially. Real ale Black Sheep excellent. Not a lot of parking though and dogs in the bar a small put off if children scared... More

Busy pub but the service is quick and the food very good quality. Some great real ales with Black Sheep and Landlord on at the time of visit. Wonderful views over the sea if you can get a seat. Try the fishcakes or crab sandwiches.

We stopped here for lunch with our baby and had a great lunch. The service was very good despite being busy and the pub itself was lovely. I had the seafood platter which was gorgeous, I highly recommend it! The fish cakes also looked very good. Well worth a visit.

Lovely views and atmosphere. But the bar is like waiting for a snail to do the 100 metres, very slow!. I enjoyed the beef dripping chips. But my mussels were a bit over cooked , so when I was taking them out of their shells they stretched or broke. The ones I left looked like ladies private parts, and I... More

Craster is such a stunning location but the visit to The Jolly Fisherman Pub topped it off. The sign out side advertising The Famous Crab sandwich was too inviting, not to try. When it arrived yes it was Visually stunning on presentation, the aromas rising from my sandwich was mouthwatering. A truly delicious experience, stunning pub with jaw dropping views... More

Living in Gateshead, a visit to The Jolly Fisherman involves a drive of about an hour for us so we haven't been before. However, last Sunday, we decided to remedy that and booked for a late afternoon meal for two. The drive may be fairly long but it is, certainly, scenic and no hardship at all. We picked a Sunday... The Jolly Fisherman is famous for great food. So much so, I understand that this rural 'pub' is opening a branch on Newcastle's quayside later in the year. With such good reports, we just had to go and check it out. We arrived just before noon on a very windy, cold February Sunday. There wasn't much going on in Craster -... More

We popped in here for lunch before the walk to Dunstanburgh castle. We got seated up the stairs with a nice view over the harbour. Service at the bar was a little slow but the beer was good and the crab sandwiches were very nice. Would recommend The Jolly Fisherman, especially if you like fresh seafood.
