A friendly and accommodating pub, right opposite the Smokery, offering a very good selection of beautifully cooked food, at tables with excellent sea views (inside and out), with helpful waiting staff and sufficient parking. Tables just a little cramped and there is some noise because of being so popular!

Recently went with friends and enjoyed a really nice evening meal. The fish was excellent as were the desserts. The menu was not overbig , which makes it that much easier too decide The wine list was just the right length too. Staff and service generally matched the rest of the evening. An extremely busy and popular restaurant if our visit... More

Very busy lunchtime when we visited but bar staff friendly and served quickly. Had the jolly fish platter which was, as others have mentioned, not cheap but very tasty and a good portion. Sat on the balcony where we were able to have an excellent view of the harbour and shoreline. Worth noting if you are only in the area... More

On recommendation we paid a visit to the "Jolly" fisherman in Craster looking forward to a pint and an evening meal, after ordering the beers and checking out the fare/prices on offer we decided there and then not to bother. What with a grumpy older member of staff who served the beer and the miserable locals stood at the end... More

The so-called famous crab sandwiches were no different from any I've had before, if anything not as good as they were made with standard sliced bread. At nearly £8 I expected at least a generous platter, with 4 slices of bread and a decent amount of salad. I had 4 mini sandwiches and 2 forkfuls of salad with a spoonful... More

The view is to die for here if you sit outside. Only had ploughmans lunches but were very good. Had to wait a while, but this was because the place is so popular.

We had lunch here during a recent visit to Northumberland and had delicious food, good beer and excellent service. The crab soup wasn't as delicious as expected but everything else was very tasty. The sea bass tempura was light and flavoursome. Good beer too.

Great location in quaint Craster, and a really, really good ploughman's lunch. Tons of delicious cheese.

We have eaten here twice in 3 days! The food is excellent, we went with friends last night and all tried different things and we were all pleased with what we ate. My only comment would be that the puds could be half the size and then the feeling of over-indulgence would be less. The staff were all very helpful... More
