I recently had lunch at this pub, i ordered 2 crab sandwiches and some chips, the chips were terrible, far too greasy, and the sandwich was nicely presented, apart from the stale bread!!! i waited at least 30 minutes to get this, however bar staff were very friendly, i do not recommend this pub.

Very disappointing visit. We called ahead to check food service times and were told we could eat in the bar with the dogs until 4pm, but we couldn't book. We were advised to come late as it would probably be less busy. Arrived at 2.30 and we're told they had stopped serving food - couldn't even get a bowl of... More

Craster is a small place & had only a few eating establishments so you are stuck with paying the prices. The pub itself is nice & pleasant with happy staff but the price & quality if food is below average, you would expect something special for the crab sarniebut it is very plain & the crab soup is not that... Whilst staying for a week in Alnmouth we decided to take up a recommendation from a family member to visit The Jolly Fisherman for a meal. We are glad we did. We ordered at about 5.30pm and had quite a long wait until the food arrived which I guess was because it was cooked fresh to order. I had a... More

Decided to visit this small village as we had not been before and what a gem it is. Finding the Jolly Roger we decided to go in for drinks only, sat in the beer garden as we had our dog with us, dogs more than welcome in the beer garden. The view from there on a beautiful sunny day are... More

Nice setting and nice food. Very dog friendly as were all the places we visited. My son opted for the roast beef salad with onion however although tasty it was too rare for him and misleading as we thought it would be a hot roast beef. Not their fault though

A friendly and accommodating pub, right opposite the Smokery, offering a very good selection of beautifully cooked food, at tables with excellent sea views (inside and out), with helpful waiting staff and sufficient parking. Tables just a little cramped and there is some noise because of being so popular!

Recently went with friends and enjoyed a really nice evening meal. The fish was excellent as were the desserts. The menu was not overbig , which makes it that much easier too decide The wine list was just the right length too. Staff and service generally matched the rest of the evening. An extremely busy and popular restaurant if our visit... More

Very busy lunchtime when we visited but bar staff friendly and served quickly. Had the jolly fish platter which was, as others have mentioned, not cheap but very tasty and a good portion. Sat on the balcony where we were able to have an excellent view of the harbour and shoreline. Worth noting if you are only in the area... More
