We were a party of nine, including four children so booked ahead for an early evening slot. Fabulous sea views and very friendly, attentive staff. The manager was incredibly helpful and arranged for two of the kids to share an adult fish dish, which the kids loved. The food was delicious, substantial portions and beautifully presented. Will definitely return.

We had their famous crab sandwiches for lunch, and they were delicious. Although it was extremely busy (as usual), we were lucky enough to get a window table. The amazing view in front of us of the harbour and rough sea made the sandwiches taste even better!

Book in advance......only advice. Food, service and location great. Little else around so gets busy.....oh and small car park near by so park up the road. Had the crab soup (awesome) and salmon starter (perfect)......will come back again but not having had such a large lunch so as to be able to do menu justice.

If having your vegetables passed slowly through hot water appeals to you, then this is your place! My steak was beautifully cooked but the vegetables were virtually inedible with carrots that defied a fork and the calabrese so beloved of the catering world, virtually raw. It was when a member of my party asked for a mint tea to follow... More

This is a busy pub with a great atmosphere. The views are stunning and the outdoor terrace is lovely. We quickly found a table and ordered, despite it being very busy the food arrived quickly, it was well presented and very tasty. The desserts were amazing!! Would definitely recommend this establishment.

When we told some friends we were visiting the Northumberland Coast, they told us to be sure to go to Craster ( which I'd never heard of ) to sample the crab sandwiches at this pub. So we made a special detour which unfortunately didn't meet our expectations. It was really busy which you'd expect during the summer holidays so... More

We looked forward to visiting The Jolly Fisherman for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. The wait was worth it, they were very busy but our food was fresh and delicious.

Well positioned with views over the harbour , recommend pre booking. We had the crab soup, roast pepper tart to start, both good. Then fish pie and sea bass, delicious. The wines by the glass were vetch reasonably priced. Nice young staff , both helpful and polite. It ended our holiday on a very good note.

Visited Craster (again) for the RNLI Harbour Fete - opened by Alexander Armstrong no less! Usual good food and good beer and decent service considering the number of people who came in for lunch. Don't be put off by people moaning about service - everything is made fresh to order so it does take some time. This is a great... More
