Great Pub

Great pub in Craster with a real community feeling. We loved the fact they allowed dogs into the pub and if you wanted a meal the restaurant up a flight of stairs offered great food and an equally great view of the coast.

The pub was busy even for a Monday lunchtime but the weather was amazing 20th April2015 . The food was hot and of high quality I had fish cake and they were tasty and plenty to eat ( 3 fish cakes to a plate) the chips came in a frying basket witch was a nice touch. I loved this place.

We visit this pub restaurant a couple of times a year when we head north from Sussex to visit our elderly father; we take him for a drive. Along the coast and stop here for lunch. He does not go out now and so looks forward to these trips. Sit in the restaurant overlooking the fabulous view of the sea... More

We ate outside on a beautiful day enjoying the view of the seabirds on nearby rocks. We enjoyed crab soup which was served with soda bread and a crab sandwich which was served with salad. It was well worth the wait - both the restaurant and the tables outside were busy. Worth a visit!

A very tasty lunch with three of us ordering the Northumbrian beef and one the hake. All really well cooked, beef amazing, with great accompaniments. Sticky toffee pud always just right- and then the sun came out to dispel the mist and give us the view we had hoped for with our window seat!

We were on holiday for a week and our daughter wanted to treat us to somewhere special,at the end of our holiday. The waitresses were very pleasant and had time to chat and ask where we came from. Unfortunately we had ages to wait between starters and main course and the children got bored. When the food did eventually arrive... More

After a blustery walk from Craster to the castle we came here to eat. It is a busy and popular pub which serves hot food and it's 'famous crab sandwiches'. I am always happy to eat the crab sandwich which is very tasty and good with a bowl of crispy chips to share. Service was speedy and friendly and everyone... More

A lovely restaurant with an excellent choice of dishes on the menu. Four of us went for lunch on Sunday and had an enjoyable meal. The views from the restaurant are quite spectacular and there are some excellent walks to be had in the area, to work of the meal we had. Staff were pleasant and welcoming and although they... More

Ate lunch there last week, waited 55 minutes to be served at which point the waitress came over asked us what our order was and said it was on its way. our order had clearly been forgotten about as others who arrived after us were now being served. Our order was simply a cheese and ham toastie and a ploughmans... More

I went here in the evening. The staff were very welcoming and seated us on a table with a great view of the sea and the castle. The Starter and main course took a while to get to our table, but it was well worth waiting for as my food was delicious.
