Fantastic Meal

Popped to Craster after a long day at Alnwick Castle needing a drink. Wandered past the restaurant and the menu looked so good I stuck my head in through teh kitchen door and asked if we could book a table that evening. So glad we did as they were turning people away after we sat down. We had the... read more

We read on the website that Craster Seafood Restaurant did takeaways - so on a lovely sunny day we used it as an incentive to return to after a walk northbound to Embleton Bay via Dunstanburgh Castle. We weren't disappointed and shared half each of a crab and kipper sandwich not he benches overlooking the harbour. We were so taken... More

Having been a keen fan of Craster kippers for some time , I was keen to sample them in Craster, itself. Having been seated and waiting for a menu for a long time I asked for one and was told they had run out of menus, despite the fact that people had arrived at the next table and had been... More

We were very lucky to get a table so do book in advance for this (justifiably) very popular restaurant. The food was excellent, portions were huge and service was impeccable.

Was recommended this restaurant at another local pub. Lucky to get a table as it is incredibly popular and after eating there I can see why. The owners are Portugese/Brazillian? This is reflected in the menu with some wonderful south American dishes as well as more traditional fish and chips. Food was delicious and service impeccable. Good price for the... More

Evening meal on a wet August night. The food was delicious - we had the skink and the Thai prawn soup, followed by the smoked haddock and the seafood platter. The seafood was delicious, and portions very generous. Great views too - although it looked very grey at the time.

Fish was exceptional. Reasonably priced. Views of the Craster Harbour beautiful whilst eating. Service first class. Served by staff who loved what they were doing.

Visited with my partner and liked it so much we went twice. As others have said a window seat is magic but not a deal breaker. Food is fantastic and owner has done a great job in turning it around as it used to be very old fashioned...eg not allow kids. Also does takeaways if the restaurant is not too... More

This small restaurant is well set, overlooking the harbour at Craster - ask for a window table if you can, but there are good views anywhere. Food is of course fish based, including their own absolutely delicious Craster Kipper. Excellent, unpretentious cooking, pretty reasonably priced: 3 of us had 8 courses and a bottle of wine between us for under... More

We are from France and it's our first time in Northumberland, we've stopped by in our way to Scotland on holidays and it was so good that we've also stopped in our way back!!! A perfect balance of exoticism, brought by their Brazilian chef, and local specialties. The service was perfect! And the view!!!! Ask for a table by the... More
