We went here the other night, bit selfish as i like seafood and the wife doesnt. I had the smoked haddock chowder to start which was light and delicious, my wife had the meat terrine which she enjoyed particularly the zesty salad. I had scampi and chips (I couldnt resist) which were very nice and my wife had the chilli... More

The Craster Fish Restaurant satisfied our hunger after a bracing walk to Dunstanburgh Castle from the small village of Craster. Good service and wholesome food.

If you come here try the Kippers, just perfect. Staff very helpful and friendly you just have to try it. There are other choices on the menu but Kippers are the thing to try!

We called here for a light lunch. I had the locally sourced crab sandwich which was absolutely delicicious. Lots of crab meat served on a really soft and fresh white bread. My wife had Craster Skink (fish broth) which she really enjoyed. Service was excellent - the waiting staff were very efficient and friendly. Also wonderful views across Craster fishing... More

As this restaurant is attached to the famous L Robson & Sons smokehouses, you can be sure you will eat superlative smoked fish, but it also offers a great deal more. When I visited recently with my husband, I chose the seafood platter, which was very fresh and tasty, and beautifully presented. As there was such a humungous amount, I... More

This most be one of the best Fish & Chip restaurants we know - and we always visit when in Northumberland - the fish is fresh caught and the batter is super - and they don't over load you with too many chips. On this occasion on the 25th September the service was too slow - we booked for 7pm... More

We wanted a special final meal for the last day of our holiday and were really pleased to get a table, however that is as far as it goes. Booked in for 7.30 and witnessed another table receiving their starters at different times (some had finished while others waited) this continued for their main course too. We ordered starters and... We were enjoying a drive up the Northumbria coast and called in to Craster for lunch. We decided that we wanted something better than Pub Grub and opted to try the CRASTER SEAFOOD RESTAURANT and, boy, were we pleased?! I couldn't resist the 'Two Grilled Delicious Craster Kippers' (wife doesn't like doing them at home because of 'the smell'!) and,... More

Sea views from most tables and friendly staff with a homely touch make this a pleasing venue. We couldn't resist a kipper starter from the smokehouse attached and we haven't had such a delicately flavoured and softly textured fishy in ages. My halibut was a good size portion ( none of your fancy London two mouthfuls here) and came atop... More

We have been to Northumberland several times for a holiday , usually staying in Low Newton , and only tried this restaurant for the first time last week and it was excellent . We went three times and enjoyed delicious meals each time . The choices were interesting , the portions generous and the courses beautifully presented . The staff... More
