We have been to Northumberland several times for a holiday , usually staying in Low Newton , and only tried this restaurant for the first time last week and it was excellent . We went three times and enjoyed delicious meals each time . The choices were interesting , the portions generous and the courses beautifully presented . The staff... More

Had a takeaway so that we could eat by the harbour. The fish (1x cod, 1x haddock) were amongst the best we had ever had. The chips were more akin to something from a city-centre takeaway; OK but not special.

This is home to Craster's famous kipper smokers, L. Robson and Sons Ltd. By the side of the building and shop is a little fish restaurant. Initially we... More

Went there Sunday lunchtime. Really speedy service without being hurried. Book ahead and get a table on the Upper Deck with wonderful views. No complaintsabout the food at all. Very good range of choices including lots of good fishy things

Whenever we visit Northumberland we try to go to the Fish Restaurant in Craster. We love the fish here and the friendly service.

Craster's is one of those places you book to get into: it overlooks the small, private harbour. We watched a boat land - you don't get fresher! It's a no-messing family-run restaurant: but looks can deceive. Even at their most pushed, they're all smiley & helpful. They care. The food here is solid: straight up fish & chips with mushy... The food was very good after a little wait for it to be cooked fresh. Service was efficient and friendly. Great scenic views. Would eat here again.

If nothing else you need to go to this restaurant for the chips, they were amazing! Lovely crunchy outside but soft in the middle, just perfect. I did very much enjoy the rest of my food but some of the flavours were a little overpowering. Also, be prepared for huge portion sizes!! A starter should be something small to wet... More
