after having walked around searching for a place to eat for our evening meal, we stumbled across GEA. The menu looked promising, however there appeared to be no other customers at the restaurant, and seeing as all the other restaurants along the street were full, this was far from re-assuring. Although this gave us little than no choice so we... More

Being a "habituee" of Rue Jourdan I have 3 favourites in that street. Now I might have to add another one. Having passed the restaurant so often I gave it a try today for lunch, something I do not regret. Seated on the terrasse I ordered the lunch for 29 € and while waiting for the first course ( a... Food is okay, not bad but not great. One of us had a smoked salmon plate which would have made a good starter but was inadequate for dinner. The other had a chicken dish which was very flavorful. The quirkiness comes from the waiter/host, a funny little man. We weren't sure whether he had a quirky sense of humor or... More

In a touristy street but near hotel after long day travelling. Mixture of Belgian and Southern European cuisine. Very friendly and enthusiastic maître d'. Moules appear to be the speciality but choices of grilled salmon fillet and whole grilled sea bass were good with a timbale of veg and rice accompaniments. Aperitifs and digestifs were on the house and the... More

Even on a Monday evening, this was a charming place to eat. An extensive menu including a range of mussels dishes and several Greek classics was presented. We opted for more Greek options. The food was delicious. I had a steak with a particularly tasty pepper sauce, my wife chose the ribs, prepared with the restaurant's own marinade. The owner... More

During our recent trip to Brussels my friend and I suddenly found us in need of a good restaurant to spend a nice evening at - the concert we had planned to go to had been cancelled and now we had time for a proper dinner at our hands. Exhausted from the pre-Xmas crowds and frustrated by the tacky tourist... More

My wife, daughter and I ate here last week. They have an Italian and Greek menu and specialize in mussels. My wife and I had the mussels and thought that they were very good. My daughter's steak was good but had to be sent back as it was undercooked. The manager is generally helpful but is a little pushy. The... More

The four of us had a nice meal here on a busy Friday evening. Three people had melt in your mouth ribs and I had very large prawns in garlic. The very friendly manager seated us and we were served with bread and antipasti very quickly. Then his wife (who was also very friendly - can't believe Paddy Murphy in... More

I do not like to have dinner with my family and friends in a place where even the manager responsible is so rude, don't speak English and definitely don't have a clue about how to deal with customers and tourists...there are so many nice places in the same street, please go to La Vigne or Le Delirie Parisien, those are... I loved what I ate hear but be warned that the menu is only available in Flemish. However the restaurant staff was very friendly and explained the dishes available and I was able to enjoy a nice dinner that a reasonable price. I certainly would recommend G-EA.
