A brasserie worth the name

Classic brasserie decor, efficient service and good food. In particular the pork knuckle in mustard was remarkable (yes heavy but part of the charm). Good wines.

One of Brussels's best brasseries, and in a charming part of the city. In warm weather, if sitting outside, choose a table on the Avenue Louis Lepoutre side - quieter than Chaussee de Waterloo. Even better if you can visit on the Brussels annual car-free day, usually on a late September Sunday. We enjoyed terrific French oysters, sole meuniere and... More

We had a long dinner with friends at this restaurant on a Sunday night (when lots of places are closed). The food was excellent, the atmosphere and the service were both good, and no one seemed to mind when we stayed late talking.

This restaurant serves excellent dishes at a reasonable price. The service is very efficient – one does not wait too long for the orders .The ambiance is very pleasant, busy but not too noisy. They have also a good list of wines.

Everything was perfect apart from a not so friendly waitress. Great food, location and ambience. Unfortunately, they didnt have moules so I went for the pork. Would definitely try it again.

Great local seafood restaurant. We sat at the seafood bar and saw all food come out of the kitchen. Great service, fresh, well-cooked seafood and lovely ambiance. Will definitely return if ever back on Brussels.

I used to come to this place rather frequently up to 6 / 7 years ago. I loved it, it was a very typical, friendly good value Brussels bistrot, serving perfect Belgian food. Coming back the other day I must say that I was not impressed. The staff is not as efficient and friendly as it used to be. The... More

The kitchen is great. Very fine cooking for a brasserie. I had a superb chicken with spinach and my partner crevettes with risotto. Excellent preparations. The white and red housewine was ok. Most of the customers were eating the set lunch menu at 16 euros. The other dishes are a bit overpriced. So I give them not the full 5... More
