Nice place for a snack

A beer and a quick meal. Fine! Good service and reasonably priced. No more to add. Go there if you come by the neighbourhood.

Quick service and nice selection of beers. Quite many people on a normal evening, but staff was efficient.

The place has an outstanding atmosphere and a good selection of Belgian beers. I enjoyed the place; young and old clientele, perfect noise level and a couple of trappiste beers in their unique glass.

This place is a land mark in Brussels and known by generations of Belgians. They have always done very good traditional Belgian food , such as mussles of all sorts, Stoemp, and waterzoiy, and steaks and some fish. what they are known for, is always very good. It is also a good pla e to have drinks. Ialways have their half... More

We were staying across the street at The Hotel and wanted to find a nearby restaurant that served local Belgian food on a Sunday evening. This turned out to be a very good choice. They specialize in mussels as as do many restaurants in this town so I can't say it was exceptional but is quite good my wife had... More

We found the service to be quite accommodating to two persons from the USA who were unfamiliar with some items on the menu. We liked it so well one night, we returned again. It was very close to The Hotel where we were staying. The had a lot of choices from lighter menus to when you were very hungry. Our... More

The Trappist benefits from not being a tourist restaurant, from great traditional Belgian food, and a great selection of Belgian beers. My wife and I ate there twice during our week in Bruxelles: Enjoying Moules-frites, Entrecote-frites (with mushroom sauce), and lamb with mashed potatoes and haricots verts) and gaufres with chocolate sauce for dessert, not to mention great Belgian beer.... Even if it's in a highly commercial area the restaurant seems as if it's coming out from another era. The clientele looks very local, and that is certainly a good sign. The menu offers traditional recepies and on the board are offered the daily specials. The sitting arrangement is a bit overcrowded, but if you do not go in peak... More

Few years ago I did note the impoliteness of waiters....I have them a chance yesterday and...they did confirm they behaviour, therefore: never again!Their arrogance is probably due to the fact that many tourists stop by, therefore they are not really interested in returning customers. In any case, they need good manners training!
