Quirky, cool, great food, excellent service

This was my second visit to Les Fils à Papa. The first was in December, when they had a huge Christmas tree in the entrance and atmospheric decorations. I like the décor as it’s a nice mix of materials, including wood, and the space is cleverly separated into 3 areas, each with slightly different... read more

This restaurant looks very chic and cool on the outside. Service was poor though and the staff were not exactly friendly. My main course was cold in patches are too hot in others - obviously just microwaved. Wouldn't bother to go there again.

The service is pretty normal. Quality of food is quite low, even if they pretend to be a sort of elegant and quality place. Tuna was terrible (maybe they bought it in a discount food shopping?) Vegetables were supposed to be fresh, but probably they were frozen and with absolute no taste.

Industrial fondue and shrimp croquettes, but well presented. Salad improperly washed but tasty. Sirloin steaks cooked to request and tender, bearnaise sauce probably semi-industrial but tasty. Caesar salad (it's the hit in nouveau bourgeois places in Brussels - it's been around in the US for 20 years, get creative guys!!!) large but chicken was outdated!! Mentioned to staff but reply... It started quite well, with a sympathetic waitress, good weather (!!), nice wine...the starter was also not that bad: salade with bacon and goat cheese and apple, a (to) big portion. But you won't hear me complain to much about that. Then the main dish: cote d'agneau with speculoos, with gratin dauphinois and vegetables......that's when the nightmare started: the potato... More

Very pleasant evening, it was a business gathering as it was a bigger group we were set up in a more private room in the 1st floor. Started with a good sashimi dish (st. jacques, salmon, and tuna) followed by lamb ribs with a speculous crust (a little too sweet for me, but nevertheless an interesting combination). The wine choice... More

This is the type of restaurant where you could have a great expensive and fancy dinner or just a more affordable hamburger or thai dish with the advantage of enjoying an elegant setting and very professional service. Since it was our anniversary, we went for some of the most expensive dishes in the menu and were not disappointed (thon tartare,... More

We got there as they opened at seven and that was a blessing as they filled up fast. Tried the chicken with Parmesan and cream sauce and my daughter tried the Thai wok dish. Both were excellent. Service was very good, not over bearing and friendly. For dessert tried the tiramisu with speculos. Globally that is the best I have... More

My wife and I ate here at the suggestion of friends from Brussels. If you have a car it's worth a 15 minute drive from the City Center. Contemporary cuisine with a lot of Asian influence. Creative and well prepared. Fish was excellent. Good wine list, though a bit limited. Very attractive & bustling place. Fine service, A bit pricy,... More
