Michelin 1 star. Enough said. It didn't disappoint. Had the 20th anniversary tasting menu and it was lovely.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 days this August and realising the restaurant had a Michelin star, decided to go for the half-board option. The restaurant itself is in a delightful riverside setting and particularly well decorated. The food was superb, varied and mostly came form the local area. Knowing that we had taken the half-board option, we were... More

We were staying with friends & to say thank you we offered to take them out to dinner, they chose this restaurant/hotel. It is set on a river & the dining tables are set on a series of patios stepped down to the water. The venue, environment & building were lovely - very romantic. The prices were very expensive. The... Visited here once again to finish off my 40th birthday celebrations, as always was top notch. We sat on the terrace next to the river, the most beautiful surroundings. An excellent lunch menu on offer with sublime service and knowledge from staff. They now offer an Argentian grill where you are offered a selection of different cuts of beef, fish,... More

From the moment we arrived everything went well. It's a very attractive venue and the welcome was genuine. We were advised that our choice of champagne was not to temperature, so we were brought complimentary glasses of a cheaper champagne while ours cooled. The food was well prepared and tasty (personally I didn't enjoy the ceviche of langoustine, but the... More

Having been told by family of just how good Le Moulin du Roc is, we decided to spend my 40th birthday lunch there. The service was second to none - very attentive and enormously helpful, explaining each dish to us when we were looking for advice on the menu, and each time staff passed our table, they were aware enough... The setting on the Dronne River is a perfect setting to enjoy excellent cuisine, meticulous service especially from the Sommelier. Argentinian barbecue meets French style cuisine results in perfectly prepared beef that surpassed any beef dish we had previously encountered in France.

Never does Moulin de Roc disappoint, was a little apprehensive as we took friends who had only ever heard us rave about the restaurant and recent reviews have been mixed about the new lunch menu. I thought the new style lunch menu was less formal on paper than the previous set menu, but the food was as fabulous as always.... More

By far one of the most beautifully presented, most delicious meals I've ever experienced. We began with Champagne on the terrace served foie gras on toast. Moving to the restaurant terrace we were seated overlooking the garden with views of the foot bridge and tennis courts. We wanted our meal to consist of the many wonderful foods local to the...
