It does not get any better than Hispania. This is the best fine dining experience i have had in Spain. It is about 50 km out of Barcelona on the coast, an easy Sunday drive. But, unless you book, don't waste your trip. It is the best, and it is very busy, for that reason. Food first rate, service exceptional,... More

It is nothing from outside, but people do know about it and book it in advance. It is an old restaurant with its long history and traditions you can feel from the entrance and see from the photos on the walls. The waiters are in white jackets, the service is perfect. The cuisine is very high level and the prices... More

This was a birthday present. At half an hour with the train (quicker than by car) from Barcelona there is a restaurant which from the outside would not give away the quality of atmosphere and food. Very famous for its peas (guisantes) and a fabulous langostino dish. The wine menu is impressive too. We ate for England.

One of my favorite restaurants near Barcelona. Can't get there other then by car or taxi, but probably is worth the try. Large rooms, large space around the tables, old furniture, nice old decoration. Nothing kitsch but good old fashion style. Nothing strident. Mature waiters who know their trade by heart and have no desire to impress you but just... More

This restaurant was recommended in our Eyewitness guide, and we happened to pass by on our way north, so made the stop. Free parking behind the building, entrance on the street. Nice restaurant, mix of old-fashioned and modern. Probably family run, judging by the type of staff. A good menu, great appetizers (like the tomato bread), quality food. A bit... More

We went on 2nd weekend of September. The place is nicely decorated with a retro 1925 atmosphere, silver cutlery and linen thread. The classical Catalan cuisine , with innovative touches is served by a very professional service. Excellent traditional food with the top quality ingredients. MUST GO
