We visit this pub a lot. The staff are always very polite and attentive. This pub serves consistently good "Pub Grub" and the best Steak and Ale pie in the Vale of Belvoir. (Wednesday nights only) I highly recommend this establishment for quality and excellent value for money. Pleasant setting by the Grantham Canal. Large outdoor beer garden and log... More

Our local church walking group and we had a Christmas get together here last weekend. We were made very welcome, room with roaring fire and really great food. Excellent choice of real ale. Very good value for money. A nice walk along the Grantham to finish.

Visited the Plough on an impromptu trip and had steak pie and the lasagne. Both were superb and amazing value :-) Reasonable pub, but well worth it for great food :-) Pics of food uploaded

Popped in for an impromptu Tuesday evening meal. Pub and Restaurant both busy. Service was polite and attentive. This is a country pub which serves "home cooked" food, so the menu isn't extensive, but there is a good range of choices, and a specials board. Food was excellent. Piping hot and well presented. Good choice of beers at the bar... More

What a joy it was to see a pub/restaurant as busy as this one is. Even more joyous was the fact that the fact that it was busy did not interfere with the quality of the food, beer or service. If you are going to visit here I would strongly advise that you make a booking first to ensure that... More

My sister and I met here for a late Sunday lunch, around 3pm. It had clearly been busy over lunch but there were tables free inside and we sat in the sunshine outside. We weren't looking for a huge meal but the roast dinners being delivered to other diners looked lovely, so we asked for child portions of roast pork... More

We had lunch in this pub on the Saturday of the Scarecrow Festival. We sat indoors as there was no room outside. The service was a little slow however, we understood this as there were a lot of people ordering food. When the food came it was lovely. There were 6 in our party and 4 of us had the... More

Went for Sunday lunch and enjoyed good food, excellent service and all at a decent price. Marring the entire experience was the huge number of flies in the place - having to chase flies from your food (indoors) every 30 seconds or so is unpleasant and destroys any chance of enjoying a relaxing meal. For a local pub with a... More

So many pubs try to be sOmething to everyone and end up being nothing for no one. However the plough manages to carry it off. Great for kids but equally good for a quiet drink in a snug. Food isn't high cuisine but you won't leave hungry and it is perfectly tasty. Excellent selection of drinks in the bar. Unpretentious... More
