Great Sunday lunch

We visited The Plough for Sunday lunch with some friends and this was my first visit for about 25 years. The staff were friendly and seated us quickly and the menu had just the right amount of choice for a Sunday lunch, with a good choice of beers on offer. All the courses were delicious, really... read more

Whilst staying at Jerico Farm B&B we were recommended to try this pub for a meal an we were definitely not disappointed. The sirloin steak melted in your mouth and the homemade chocolate cheesecake was to die for. fabulous service very friendly staff. Excellent Two Cornish maids went home very very happy . after accidentally finding this local pub we were astonished by the quality of the food it served. The pate starter was enough for two to share and was presented on a huge wooden breadboard ! To follow we both chose the rump steak one with homemade chunky chips the other with a lovely jacket potato, accompanied by onion rings, mushrooms,... More

The meal was very poor, but having seen Bob(the landlord) and Charlotte on a night out they were very sorry that our meal wasn't up to the standards that others have said was very good in the reviews so they told us to come back and have another meal on the house.

Pulled into the carpark and the first thing we saw was the cook smoking outside and on her phone which put me off from ordering our meal but my wife talked me into ordering as she said surely she'd wash her hands, I saw her four times in the hour and a half that we was there. I find this... More

Visited last Sunday and as always had a great Sunday lunch. It's home made, good portions and good value. Choice of turkey, beef, lamb and pork with all the trimmings. Starters and desserts look good too. We shared a baileys cheesecake, others had Movenpicks ice cream or sticky toffee pudding (massive portion, put my cheesecake to shame). Service was excellent... We visit this pub a lot. The staff are always very polite and attentive. This pub serves consistently good "Pub Grub" and the best Steak and Ale pie in the Vale of Belvoir. (Wednesday nights only) I highly recommend this establishment for quality and excellent value for money. Pleasant setting by the Grantham Canal. Large outdoor beer garden and log... More

Our local church walking group and we had a Christmas get together here last weekend. We were made very welcome, room with roaring fire and really great food. Excellent choice of real ale. Very good value for money. A nice walk along the Grantham to finish.

Visited the Plough on an impromptu trip and had steak pie and the lasagne. Both were superb and amazing value :-) Reasonable pub, but well worth it for great food :-) Pics of food uploaded

Popped in for an impromptu Tuesday evening meal. Pub and Restaurant both busy. Service was polite and attentive. This is a country pub which serves "home cooked" food, so the menu isn't extensive, but there is a good range of choices, and a specials board. Food was excellent. Piping hot and well presented. Good choice of beers at the bar... More
