The most interesting food in uruguay

I've been twice and had some German inspired meals. After eating meat cooked pretty much the same way in every restaurant with out any kind of season, this place was a treat to my palate. Kalbsbratwurst mit Zwiebelnsauce und Rösti, Holzfällersteak and Schweinekotelette “Schwarzwald” were my... read more

Kalbsbratwurst mit Zwiebelnsauce und Rösti, Holzfällersteak and Schweinekotelette “Schwarzwald” were my favorites so far and I always finished with Apfelstrudel and coffee. It is a... More

Just spent 4 days at Pueblo Suizo with my daughter and granddaughter and had an amazing time. Good accommodations with all the necessary ammenities, well kept grounds, courteous service, attention to detail and superb cuisine, made our stay memorable. The beach is awesome and is only a 7 min walk. We will certainly be back and we highly recommend it.

quiet garden setting, a block or so from the beach. We always stop here on our way to the Eastern beaches. Food is AMAZING! We have tried seafood, pasta, Swiss cosine, always top notch.

We went to this restaurant with friends for lunch. I found the atmosphere ok but not particularly special. Two ordered a ciabatta sandwich which was good, one ordered the sauerkraut dish and she was not too happy with it. I ordered a prociutto pizza and was appauled by the taste. It was dry, too thick and the taste was horrible.... More

Lovely place halfway from Montevideo and Punta del Esta. Neat and very tidy with a Swiss flavour in the appearance of the restaurant. Excellent service, excellent food indeed. A bit pricy for my taste but good food is pricy everywhere, ain't it? Place is specially appropriate to go with the family. Surrounding garden includes

Pueblo Suizo is a great place for it food, quality , service and relation with price. Ideal for all family, children find what they love (pasta, snack, chivitos, milanesa hot dogs ) and parents could enjoy a great meal with european dishes but made with local fresh products. Swiss dishes are delicious but toscana poultry is one of my favorites.... More

My wife and I met some friends over at this lovely resort in Jaureguiberry for dinner. Frankly, I was not expecting much, but to our surprise it had a lovely atmosphere and by far the best food in Canelones. Needless to say that we have repeated the visit few more times and we will continue doing so if they keep... More
