Stopped off at the Ashvale Brechin on the way home from football in Arbroath. Sat down to one of the worst fish suppers I can remember in many a year. Wont be going back. It lets the famous Aberdeen one down badly.

A chippy my partner and I visit from time to time. A great local chippy with a restaurant upstairs also. Bought a scampi supper and black pudding supper. Both were good, no complaints here. Orders were taken quickly and waited no more than 15 mins for it to be made up and the staff were friendly also. I also spotted... More

Sausage supper was soggy, very few chips, at over £4 this is not good value for money, no interaction with customers, establishment decor in need of some TLC.

Phoned in an order for delivery and when it was delivered after 50 mins it was all wrong! The person taking the phone order completely wrote down different things to what we said. Don't recommend paying £4.60 for half a single fish! Sorry but wont be spending my money there again. Franks in Forfar fantastic!!

We moved to the area in September and used to go to the Ashvale in Bridge of Don where we used to live so assumed that the Brechin shop would be just as good. Slow service, a chicken fritter which, if thrown even lightly at someone, would kill them. Benefit of the doubt was given as they were about to... More
