Very Good Indeed . . .

Had a lovely dinner at The Cellar last night. The management and menu has changed since the last time I was there. The menu was simple and small but I'm a firm believer lass is more. Specializing in a few dishes is better then trying to do it all. I had the New York strip and it was delicious along... More

A few friends gave this glowing reviews, but that was from years ago. The food was terrible. Best thing was the bacon wrapped stuffed date. Steak was overcooked and tough. NO mushroom sauce as described in menu. They ran out of main course choices and deserts. We began dinner at 6PM .. and they were already out? Overall service was... More

Thank you for your feedback. From the sounds of it your experience was not up to our standards either. I do apologize for that. Recently ownership exchanged hands and it was made official on Jan 7th, 2015. Since then there have been new implementations for service and old standards were revitalized. We hope that with this news you will be... More

We were very surprised after all the "good" reviews by how bad our experience was as a PLANNED group dinner. My husband's place of work planned a dinner at this place for 26 people. It was done ahead of course, so that all would be taken care of. Where do I start! 1. My husband and I arrived 15 minutes... More

It has a nice atmosphere, good service and a nice selection of food and wine. They also have a nice selection of beers and make really great mixed drinks. The food was coked to perfection, and were presented in a very nice way. All first class.

In any major metropolitan city, The Cellar would rank Very Good….in Idaho Falls, it is a gem above almost all others (Republic, Copper Rill, and Chef Shane's Perspective give it a run for the money). Unlike some reviews, we actually believe the quality, taste, service and value was good before the ownership change. We enjoyed it prior to the change... More

I had tried the restaurant 3 years ago and the food was horrible. Fast forward to present day and I'm so glad we tried it again. It seems there is a new owner and new menu, and a new chef! The food was wonderful and I'm so glad there is gluten free options so close to home. I hope the... More

Although The Cellar recently changed ownership, Javier Sanchez has made a few changes to the decor and the presentation of the staff that you will enjoy and is fitting for this high end dining establishment. It is wonderful that the previous owner, Scott, is still doing his wine tasting/pairing. I think Javier will continue to improve on the strong dedication... More

Loved that there was live music in the enclosed patio dining room all through dinner. I had the lamb shank and hubby had the Ribeye. Both meats were a touch overdone but very good. (the ribeye not so much) But the Sides were extremely good. Gouda Polenta fantastic. Creamed Kale outrageous! Desserts were above average and not the usual fare.... More
