Very Good Indeed . . .

We went here for Valentine's Day for Chateaubriand for Two; easy reservations, seated where we like, no rushing and an excellent, excellent wine selection. The new owners are clearly putting their heart and souls into everything and it shows. The wait staff could use some polish but that comes from... read more

This is my first review I am only doing it because I think that if you are going to eat at a "fine" dinning restaurant you should know what you are getting. Last night my family, a friend and I decided to visit the Cellar. We had been there before under the old management and had enjoyed it very much.... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. While we wish that every review was a great one, every once in a while we fall short of the mark. As was the case with your most recent visit. We are contacting our Coke supplier to check into the situation with the Diet Dr. Pepper to have the mix... More

The new owner and chef has really impressed us. We visited from out of town and wish we could take this place back home with us. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in town. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. Thank you all for the best dining experience we have had in years!

We recently relocated to the area and are disappointed with the lack of good restaurants. Read an article about the Cellar and decided to give it a try. It was wonderful. The new owner came out to greet us. The food was excellent. The other diners seemed to be having a good time. We look forward to coming back. Our... More

Had a lovely dinner at The Cellar last night. The management and menu has changed since the last time I was there. The menu was simple and small but I'm a firm believer lass is more. Specializing in a few dishes is better then trying to do it all. I had the New York strip and it was delicious along... More

A few friends gave this glowing reviews, but that was from years ago. The food was terrible. Best thing was the bacon wrapped stuffed date. Steak was overcooked and tough. NO mushroom sauce as described in menu. They ran out of main course choices and deserts. We began dinner at 6PM .. and they were already out? Overall service was... More

Thank you for your feedback. From the sounds of it your experience was not up to our standards either. I do apologize for that. Recently ownership exchanged hands and it was made official on Jan 7th, 2015. Since then there have been new implementations for service and old standards were revitalized. We hope that with this news you will be... More

We were very surprised after all the "good" reviews by how bad our experience was as a PLANNED group dinner. My husband's place of work planned a dinner at this place for 26 people. It was done ahead of course, so that all would be taken care of. Where do I start! 1. My husband and I arrived 15 minutes... More

It has a nice atmosphere, good service and a nice selection of food and wine. They also have a nice selection of beers and make really great mixed drinks. The food was coked to perfection, and were presented in a very nice way. All first class.

In any major metropolitan city, The Cellar would rank Very Good….in Idaho Falls, it is a gem above almost all others (Republic, Copper Rill, and Chef Shane's Perspective give it a run for the money). Unlike some reviews, we actually believe the quality, taste, service and value was good before the ownership change. We enjoyed it prior to the change... More

I had tried the restaurant 3 years ago and the food was horrible. Fast forward to present day and I'm so glad we tried it again. It seems there is a new owner and new menu, and a new chef! The food was wonderful and I'm so glad there is gluten free options so close to home. I hope the... More
