The chefs at Appellation are so creative. Every course was a creation. The matched wines were matched very well, and the wine waitress was very passionate and knowledgeable about her wines, which added to our experience.

Four of us dined here on a recent visit to the Barossa, having dined here once before about two years ago. Appellation is very elegant, fine dining and in keeping with the quality of the Louise. We received a warm welcome and adjourned to the small bar for an aperitif before being shown to our table. We chose the seasonal... More

Just after we arrived and before we had ordered, there was a total power outage. We considered leaving but,, with assurances from the very classy staff, hoped for the best and, of course, expected power to be restored. These excellent wait staff quickly turned the dining room into a candlelit space that was quite lovely. They assured us that the... More

We ate here after doing some research via Gourmet Travellers restaurant guide and they got it spot on. I had the degustation menu with selected wines while my wife choose from the menu Everything was superb, even to suggest that the portion sizes are too generous For those that want a real flavour explosion, try the Hutton Vale lamb (not... Myself, wife and another couple had dinner here on the 5th of May. We had heard many good things and read a number of reviews, so we were expecting something abit special, and we weren't disappointed. We were in for the whole experience of the Tuesday chefs tasting menu of local produce. Three courses of pure delight. We asked the... More

The amazing dining experience started when the service staff opened the door and welcomed us when she saw us walking towards the restaurant. We were a bit early for our table so we had a drink at the bar lounge. It is quite a simple setting. The dinner tables are relatively far apart so you could have a romantic dinner... More

What a gem this place is. Food is not overly complex but exquisitely cooked and presented to showcase the best local ingredients, service very attentive and friendly without being 'in your face' and the atmosphere is stunning - soft lights, soft furnishing and tables not too close together. If you don't feel up to the tasting menu, the a la... More

This is our fourth visit and their are few places we have returned to where we felt things just seem to be better and better but Appelation certainly did it for us. The variety of food is simply superb, delicious and beautifully plated. We has two smaller dishes plus one larger and shared a desert and left feeling very happy,... More

I would like to qualify this feedback with the fact we have been here before and were suitably impressed. This is an special occasion restaurant. This experience left us very flat. Firstly the restaurant is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, the service and beverage staff are at the top of their game. We got faultless service and the wine list has... More
