Wondeful food, great ambiance!

The food is just great; the ambiance, too. The menu is varied with a myriad of choices; the portions are more than generous. I suggest that on first visit you select from the "boquitas" menu, just as you would in a tapas bar. That way you can taste a bit of everything, but be sure not to miss the... read more

The Caribbean whole fried fish was just great. A medium sized red snapper, scored and deep fried without breading. Caribbean vegetables over the top... served with beans and rice. What is not to like? Ordered a special pasta for my father in law that just plain had tooo much salt... Result.. no charge for it.. I do suggest that if... More

ricky the chef is worth the visit since he is the most friendly chef in costa rica and the place is really rustic and old costa rica like it was 35 years ago before fast food came here and food is excellent and big plates for cheap prices

Everything is coated in coconut taste, but it's not overwhelming - so if you don't like coconut, don't come here. I love coconut, so I loved everything. From the salad to the gallo pinto, this place kills it when it comes to traditional caribbean fare. Not too pricey, but in a fairly random location for tourists - it's definitely a... More

This restaurant brings a good sample of what you can find in its amazing counterpart in the Caribbean coast. The vibe and the food are spot on, though the menu is smaller. The quality and service are excellent.

Ricky's original spot is legendary. The rondon, the full snapper with patacones, the "rice and beans"...tastes and scents of fresh coconut and panama peppers…this was a reason to go al the way to Manzanillo, south of Puerto Viejo. The Santa Ana location is in a cool and authentic wooden house with a loot of greenery around. Maxi’s could be great,... More

Great place to go with friends for lunch or dinner. Fish is always fresh and very tasty. the fried plantain filled with beans and meat is very good, and you get delicious chocolates... More
