Great food.

Staff were friendly and keen. Had the 350g rib eye and it was cooked perfect and paired well with the local beer. Found the prices pretty good. Had a crack at the origami that was on the table but failed. There was a small Origami room upstairs too.

The Alpine Grill needs to have a good look at its pricing and portion sizes. We found the place really un-atmospheric with harsh lighting and little attention to decor. The risibly named "Jumbo Sausages" were not jumbo at all - more piccolo than jumbo. Fries were soggy and minuscule, as was the token salad serving. The food is not cheap... More

Fantastic ribs. Staff very pleasant. Unfortunately service was slow. However, we would go back for the food.

I'm going to be fair and say that when I went Echo land was still mostly closed and The Alpine Grill was one of the few places open. I had a burger which was average tasting, slightly overcooked I might add. I hope that when the busy ski season starts the service improves, the menu has a variety of meat dishes,... More

The place bills itself as a steakhouse. No. Don't do it. I've tried twice, and both times my medium-rare steaks were gray all the way through. Not cheap. Not yummy. Turn around, go back up the street and try Izakaya Hie, or the Korean BBQ place Marukame if you really want beef. (at least then you cook it yourself, so... More

Stopped in for a lunch after driving past. Both of us chose the lunch special which was a burger and it was pretty tasty - fresh beef which tasted like a homemade pattie and fresh tomato, lettuce etc. The burger and wedges are huge, could probably share a plate. Great after a day on the slopes building up an appetite.

This restaurant was cozy and quaint with a decent selection. The staff was incredibly helpful (calling a taxi for us after our meal) and kind. The price was around $60 for two people with a bottle of wine, but the food was great quality. We didn't have reservations, but asked anyways and they were able to seat us.

Expensive for Japan but it was worth trying wagyu beef at least once. Servings weren't large but I have to say a really tasty meal, with excellent service and a great vibe.
