Saturday taster lunch

The food was excellent, though the service was slow. They has a few functions and two staff members down so its understandable. It was a pleasant place to sit, taste and observe the goings on. Would go there again in a heartbeat.

Since my last visit the outdoor entertaining area has expanded and modernised. This enables the top class restaurant to be kept away from the cellar door area. It is a great winery especially for groups to be enjoy the area and views and wine of course.

Shared a mid week lunch with my husband at Maximillions. Very picturesque outlook over a dam and vineyards. Before lunch we ventured into the Sidewood Vineyard tasting room on site and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of their wines particularly their chardonnays. We were then seated in the enclosed verandah that wraps around the front and side of the... More

My wife and I love the Adelaide Hills for its food and wine. We had our wedding reception at Bridgewater Mill but after learning they changed hands we decided to celebrate our anniversary by visiting a few different wineries. One of our stops included Maximilians. We were pleasantly surprised to see how much things had changed since we had last... More

We had lunch there and booked table for dinner that night afterwards. The foods taste so good and quite different from other restaurants. The only thing might upset some people would be the pork cheek is pretty heavy as an entrée but still taste good. They also thoughtfully add 'Happy Birthday' on the desert for me that night. It was... More

Before you even sit down at the table, you feel it's going to be a good meal. The location is lovely, and the old building emits a warm and welcoming atmosphere. While some may feel the menu a little limiting, there is certainly good variety to choose from, and everything that came to our table was cooked well and presented... More

Just a short drive from the city and not far off the Freeway, this Restaurant and Cellar Door is one of the Adelaide Hills real gems. A really nice location with a lovely outlook. The service, food and wine were great.

Have been here on a couple of occasions for a meal. The food is fantastic, altho' not a huge range of choices available & the menu is on the higher price side of the ledger. Good selection of wines & the service was very good with attentive & knowledgeable staff. Great rural vineyard setting with lovely views just near Verdun,... More

To the team at Maximilian's, My fiance Rosanna and I wanted to say a big thank you for our beautiful lunch as we celebrated just getting engaged on Saturday. The food was amazing as always and the service was fantastic. I would also like to make a special mention for our waiter, Luke. He made us feel right at home... More

This is a great place in the Adelaide Hills to wine and dine. A mixture of the old heritage house and the modern outdoor entertaining area. The food is of a high quality. For something different you can have a try with the the golf club to land the ball on te little island in the dam, a lot of... More
