Went with friends and had a ball. The whole place was busy, which was interesting as it was a public holiday, but the food was sublime. Try the duck parfait or char grilled asparagus. Wonderful. Beautiful steak, duck and fish for the rest of the table. Great views, pond, kangaroo, emu. Killer wine... read more

Since it was sold, there has been a massive transformation with menu and service. It was great to visit once again after so long. It has been reborn. Service is attentive and friendly.

We were greeted with a warm welcome. The service throughout the evening was great. We enjoyed the shared tasting menu and everything served to us was brilliant. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful view over the vineyard and surrounding farmland. We very much look forward to dining at Maximilians again.

Innez and I had the degustation with matched wines. 8 courses I believe. It took us three and half-hours to complete this gastronomical feat/feast and I can tell you all that we will be back. I can highly recommend the Views, the staff and of course the chief is amazing because the food and Wine presentation was brilliant. Well-done guys.... More

Booked a table for 4 on the deck for an early dinner. We did get a little forgotten A little, out there and had to go inside 3 times to get service. That being said, the staff were charming. The food was faultless. Drinks however were over the top. $12 for a house Riesling, OK suck that up, but nearly... More

Maximillians was closed but the Cellar Door was tremendous. We ended up trying a large section of their tasting list. A great selection from sparkling, white, reds and ciders. A very pleasant day on the balcony overlooking the valley. A nice novelty having the golfing challenge of teeing off onto an island green. fun times.

Booked in for lunch, 6 of us, beautiful spot in the Adelaide Hills.Smallish restaurant area but pleasant. Sat in the corner with a couple of blowflies, and had to wait some time before a waitress approached us with the menus. We ordered our meals, why some restaurants persist with leaving the tails on the prawns has got me baffled. The mains... More

I'm lucky enough to live close by, and although we're spoilt for choice, I continue to come back here time after time. The food is well crafted, always fresh and served by wait staff who can confidently talk about what is in the dish. The wine list has enough variety on it so that everyone can find something they like,... More

I came here for a friends wedding early in November. I was very impressed with the quality of the food, service and the setting. The staff were extremely helpful when I brought in the wedding cake and a chef even came out despite being busy to give me some tools to finish the cake and put it in the fridge.... More
