best Seafood Linguine

I tend to avoid seafood linguine as usually there is tons of linguine and you are fishing for the seafood. Not so here. Just a nice helping of linguine with lobster, crab scallop shrimp and ringed with mussels, almost more seafood than there was linguine . My husband had the haddock, also... read more

Neil's Harbor is the quintessential fishing village, and the Chowder House sits on a promontory with a superb vista. We arrived just after it opened for lunch and within minutes of our arrival there was a long line. Unfortunately, the lobster had been cooked well before I ordered it and it was nearly tasteless. The seafood platter my wife had... More

We happened into this place and I'm so glad we did. My husband LOVES chowder and I usually order a healthier meal, but here I had to have it. It was the best chowder I've ever had. It was so good, I was telling everyone in the restaurant to order it. We also shared the mussels and they were the... More

The chowder house is situated on a very picturesque piece of real estate. That is all this place has going for it. My girlfriend and i went there on a Sunday afternoon. There were about 7 other people in the venue. we were given menus by girl who looked like she rather be anywhere else other than there. we waited... More

A pleasant restaurant with a family-local feel. We were there in early July and had the chowder and mussels with a salad. It was very good and fresh, and served with a smile. We sat in the patio (more pleasant than the inside) with a bonus of the water view and occasional whale sightings. Go to the lighthouse across from... More

No one in our group of five enjoyed their meals. The lobster sandwiches were on Wonderbread, had too much mayo with tasteless lobster. The french fries that accompanied the sandwiches were reheated and soggy. We paid approximately $100 for this. The best part was the view.

We stopped in at this seafood shack on a sunny day in July. The place was packed when we arrived at 1:00 pm. We went to the counter when we arrived and were given a number by a young boy for a clean table. We waited about 10 minutes to receive a table. We were seated at the first table... More

We came for the chowder but changed our minds at the last minute and ordered fish and chips with a garden salad to share. It was good and the salad had cranberries which gave it an extra something. I definitely had food envy though watching people share the seafood platter which at $49 seemed like excellent value. The service was... More

3.5 Good fish and chips. Busy place. Crab roll was pretty good. Very scenic location. Give it a try. That's it....

Excellent chowder in a very rustic setting. Service was adequate but the dining room extension was very hot. Beautiful views from the cliff top
