Try the taster menu

Well worth a visit, friendly and knowledgeable staff serving really good food with a good selection for beers and wine. Would recommend and visit again if I lived closer

Have been 4/5 times over last two years and this last time was not as good as previous visits. Current menu is very meat and spicy oriented and I don't/can't eat either - not much choice for fish/veggie like us as a result. I struggled to find a starter and asked for the meat, fish and cheese platter without the... More

Can't believe it's been two years since we were last here, but it was worth the wait... I booked us an overnight stay during the Easter half term. £99 for 2, dinner bed and breakfast. And what a dinner ( I was still too full to make much of a dint in the breakfast!) Our bedroom was beautiful. Warm and... More

We decided to visit here on the busy Easter weekend with our daughters. We managed to get a nice seat outside and were happy with the choices on the menu so got settled to stay for lunch. I went inside to order and was greeted by a very rude 'lady' who informed me that we would have a very long... More

We ate in the restaurant on two consecutive evenings and had a delightful experience on both occasions. On the first evening we had the 8 course Taster Menu without the wine package which was superb. The second evening we ate A la Carte, again an excellent meal. A good range of wines and cask ales for most tastes are also... More

We have eaten her two times, and both were very good. All of the food tasted fresh. The menu is quite eclectic which included such things as ribeye steak, sea bass, lamb, and onion and goat cheese tart. Everything I had was very tasty. The nice part is that they let you bring your dog into the restaurant as well... More

Menu choices include a great selection of local ingredients and the results were very good. I recommend the slow cooked beef cheek which simply pulled apart, yum! Some of the starters looked a bit small, but mains made up for it. It seemed quite a puzzle for some of the waiting staff who emerged from the kitchen with dishes that... More

visited for lunch and as we enterered we were immediately greeted with interest charm and courtesy. They have an interesting menu and I would recommend the seafood platter. The four of us enjoyed the whole experience and we'll be back for birthday celebrations in later spring.
