Went to this restaurant with my wife after I had run the Jungfrau Marathon. Cosy atmosphere, we got a nice table. The potato soup was very much below average and I can't recommend it. The fried grated potato (typical Swiss "Rösti") was very average in taste. The glass of red wine my wife had was a no go. - Next... More

I expected delicious swiss food but it was nothing special. I ordered Rösti & Kalbsleber. It was too simple for me, only rösti and kalbsleber with salty sauce on the plate. It would be nice if they put zucchini, carrot or something vegetable on the side as well. Inside of restaurant is very traditional atmosphere.

Great food, lots of fondue choices and a good choice of Swiss specialties. It's an old-style pub. The food quality is excellent.

I was staying nearby and went along to Baren with my wife for fondue and beer. The service was friendly, and the beer great. Fondue was ok - I don't have anything to compare it to but I personally found it a little cloying. My wife enjoyed her schnitzel. Overall a decent meal, if nothing special.

Went in pursuit of the Swiss Fondue Experience. The setting was atmospheric and the menu broad. We adjusted starters by sharing and that was happily accommodated. The main meat fondue was intended for two but fed three of us and we'd ordered extras such as rice and a raclette cheese and potato dish, plus a generous salad. The major disappointment... More

We were in Interlaken to visit the St.Beatus caves, and decided to grab lunch afterwards. We were quite surprised to find that most restaurants opened after 4 PM. So we stolled about for a while, despite our hunger, had a drink to pass the time, and finally decided to try this restaurant, as it is not far from the train... More

The first thing that hits you when you come into this restaurant is the smell of fondue cheese, then lots of wood everywhere, on the floor, ceiling, walls, seats, everything - very Swiss. I believe the building dates from the 1600s, it's very atmospheric. The food is traditional Swiss and is really delicious. Pricing isn't too bad either, not the... More

The 2nd night that we ate there our server was rude. Made us feel like they didn't like having repeat customers.

My wife and I were staying at the Sunny Days B&B nearby and ate dinner here 2 of the 3 nights we were here. The service is very good and the traditional Swiss food is outstanding. Try to arrive early as the tables fill up every evening with both tourists and locals.
