Surprisingly decadent

Great food choices and a lovely dining experience which surprised our party of four. Enjoyed a leisurely meal at this remote location.

Visited with a group for an anniversary dinner and was disappointed by the food. Several people had the table d'hote ($27.00)which included turkey, catfish or "mediterranean"stir fry as the entree. The med stir fry was not available and instead they had a "sweet and sour" stir fry with shrimps. The beef and potato soup was good, as was the caesar... More

Great place to meet locals and share in some sport bar tv viewing. Stieling is the only hotel with a sports bar on the Rideau. Watched the US Open Golf and the Womens Fifa Match at the same time while explaining to some locals why we were here in there neighbourhood all the way from the West Coast where both... More

I've traveled the world for 35 years as I'm a pilot for American Airlines. Have been in the finest as well as the worst restaurants . I've never been treated like I was at this establishment. We were a group of 25 that booked a private room for dining . After a long day of boating we found ourselves at... More

We heard about the Stirling Lodge from someone in Westport. We do not regret taking their advice. The food was amazing in presentation and taste. It's a quaint place that I would like to go back to in the summer and possibly stay for a weekend. It's old and they owners have kept the old flair...lots of atmosphere. If you... More

I'm with a group of fishermen that make the trip every May. The family that runs the Stirling Lodge is the best and take care of us very well. It's a must every year!

My Buddies and I, about 35 in number, have been coming to the Stirling Lodge for about 7 years. Every year the Hill Family does something to improve the lodge and environs. Last year it was the new Bar. This year, wireless internet and extended TV channels in every room. The fishing boats were improved, some with wireless trolling motor... More

I've had two experiences here, the first one being excellent and the second one being just o.k. While having a family reunion camping trip in the area, we were looking for a restaurant that would take our large group - 35 people - and found Stirling Lodge. For our large group the manager gave us our own room. Even with... More

We had the lakefront rooms that were amazing. Fishing was great and comfortable on the pontoon boats. All the meals were also great, as was the service. The staff are all so friendly and professional. They are hard workers and so funny! Robyn, Jessica and Victoria were always smiling and maintained such awesome attitudes which is not easy after a...
