A meal to remember

My friend and I started a wine tour with a five course lunch at this winery. Each course was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. I loved every wine I tasted and bought three of the wines to take home with me. It is pricey but truly a culinary treasure.

The food and wine pairing were simply the best experience we had in Mendoza. Tender juicy assado. In fact all courses of this superb meal were tasty! The Winery tour guide is very knowlegeable and you learn a lot! He' s also great fun! What surprised me most, however, was their desert wine. It's not too sweet, just right, just... More

Went for the gourmet meal and vineyard visit, it was unreal - the gardens are magnificent, the food is gourmet plus and the wine is great and keeps coming, great value and a great way to spend the afternoon. The service is great and the wines are excellent. And the food, words cannot describe the taste, execution and presentation.

Our hotel, Casa Glebinias, arranged for a tour and lunch at Bodega Melipal and it was the highlight of our time in the Mendoza area. As you approach the main buildings, you note the pristinely kept rows and rows of the vineyard itself, neatly maintained. Other landscape is in place enhancing the area and it is incredible. The building itself... More

Our group of 6 stopped at Bodega Melipal for a wine pairing lunch in March. The winery is in a beautiful setting with elaborate grounds and stunning architecture. The kitchen and dining areas are very accommodating and comfortable. Our 5 course lunch was nicely paired with wines from the vineyard. Both the food and wine were very good and complimented... Beautiful setting, great service and beautifully prepared food presented as it should be and in the portion sizes that should be served in a wine pairing lunch. We found every course to be perfect, tasty, properly presented and paired with a proper (and very good) wine. We loved everything about the visit, enjoyed two wonderful hours and left very full... We have eaten here many times over the past 8 years and taken many guests as well. It is always one of the best winery lunch experiences. The pours are generous and they pour some of their best wines to boot. Of course the food is wonderful as well as the service. Ask for an outside table if the weather... More

Short tour but thorough. Lunch was not the 5 stars some other's gave. Not used to small portions although the wine pairings were right on. 65 dollars US.
