Pleasant environment, very kind service, large choice

I went a couple of times to quarter latin. In both cases the food was very good. We tried to stick to recommendations, though, but the restaurant offers a very large choice, both on the list and as daily specials, so I am not sure of the overall quality. The environment in both cases was... read more

A Great place to visit in the evenings. It is a very lively place, particularly on the weekends, and you may need to book a table if you want to be in the main area. The food and service is good, although some dishes are expensive. I was there during the PAP Haiti Jazz Festival and the live performances every... More

On a trip visiting my daughter's orphanage with my father in law and four girlfriends, we found this little gem was open (it was closed in early Jan.) and tucked away behind a city park. The service was prompt, the waiter very helpful, and our food was fantastic. It was easily our best meal here! Definitely worth the stop. And... More

Port-au-Prince was not a tourist destination- I spent my day driving around the city, through the markets and even through Cite de Soleil. At the end of it, my driver took us to Quartier Latin with a lovely outdoor seating area and a 3 piece jazz band playing for the late lunch crowd. Unlike some other reviewers, I found the... More

Very expensive for dirt and tat, ful of drunken ex pat French bourgeoise pretending to intellectual. Food disgusting not worth the New York prices they try to charge. The female owner is rude unfriendly and has no interest other than her cronies. DONT GO... not worth the money or the upset. Staff arrogant toilet facilities of a third world ghetto

Quartier Latin is right down the street from the Best Western Premier Hotel next to the Boyer park place. The food here is tasty not too pricy with a welcoming ambiance. We were happy with all of Best Western's recommendations and Brasserie Quartier Latin. We went back a second time! If you stay at Best Western their shuttle will bring... More

Cozy venue for Latin music. But this appeared to be the place for foreigners to be around other foreigners. The place was packed, and everyone appeared to be non-locals. And not surprisingly, this is where the drink prices were the most expensive. We went bar-hopping to 3 different bars as part of a Transat Holidays vacation, and at each bar... More
