Was welcomed warmly and three of us ordered the moussaka, a greek salad, prawns & mussels - the food was top notch & the moussaka was the best I've ever eaten - this is saying something as I'm greek and have eaten it many times - it's even better than my mums! The meat & sauce in the dish were... More

Excellent local Thirian fare at reasonable prices. Outdoor dining overlooking the harbour. Service was excellent.

my family and I ate there a couple of times while staying in Pyrgos. It is a no-thrill but solid eatery with tasty and unpretentious local fare at a fraction of the price you will pay in Oia or Thira. As too often in Santorini, the sea food is frozen but they don't try to sell it for fresh stuff... More

I have no idea where those people who wrote the recent horrible reviews ate, but it strains credibility to think it was here. We had a perfectly nice lunch here late in the afternoon on 9/26. The man who waited on us was very nice and helpful, and his rudimentary English was way better than my Greek. The service was... More

went late at around 10pm and the restaurant was half full. The waiter told us to wait which we did. after 15 mins waiting I saw a greek couple who just came in, sat down and got served. I went near this person sitting in front of the cash register and he immediately asked "Yes" I replied that we are... More

DO NOT go there!!!!! They are thieves. We dine there one late evening, the menu was written in Greek so we couldn't understand anything!! We ordered our food my hubby and my boys food arrived mine never did!! When asked the waitress apologised! but by that time I wasn't hungry at 10.30 pm!! The waiter that took the order knew... More

I love this local taverna with great food, welcoming host, and authentic atmosphere. Have eaten here several times with local friends and the food is always great and prices very reasonable.

We had a wonderful lunch at Kallisti Tavern while visiting some of the smaller villages of Santorini. We tried many authentic Greek dishes, all made with fresh local ingredients. The waiter and owner were very friendly and took good care of us. Must try the Saganaki which is a pan-fried Greek cheese. So yummy and save a little room for... More

This is the only restaurant we didn't tip during our 12 days island hopping: they offered the worst service among all restaurants we've been to during our visit to 4 islands! To start we were asked to sit at a hot table with a bit of patchy shades though they had many empty tables in the shade. Then ignored to... More

The setting is beautiful, let down by the total lack of service and poor food quality. I accept that the language could be a barrier, however the lackadaisical approach to serving us was not representative of all other restaurants that we experienced on our trip.
