There was a cosy atmosphere, interesting decor and a sincere, friendly welcome upon my first ever visit to Ballyrobin today. The menu was great and thus hard to choose from, and seafood lovers would have had an even harder time making up their mind. We shared a delicious goat's cheese fritters with a pear and star anise purée starter. Heavenly.... More

Dined in the restaurant before an overnight stay in the hotel. Waitresa was friendly enough. Seated and served quiclly enough. The menu was very limited. Not a great choice of food. They have a set menu, 2 or 3 courses but couldnt find anything i liked, partner also struggled. Partner ordered the burger, was bland and dry. I had the... More

We called in here only for a drink as it was too early to go home. The small, cosy bar is welcoming and well stocked. Prices are good value for money and the staff are attentive without being overbearing. There is no sports channel blasting in your ear, nor loud music, just a few tables and peace to have a... More

Went for a family dinner on a Sunday at about 2.00 o'clock. We had a one year old with us and the staff could not have been more helpful: we really did feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We were also delighted with the meal - the roast beef was melt in the mouth and the sides were... More

Went for a romantic dinner for valentines. Really enjoyed the set menu. Plenty to choose from and some nice combinations and unusual dishes. I had goats cheese tarlet with baby leeks and the wife had wood pigeon. Followed my and mold curried monkfish dish a duck and plum compote dish followed by two great chocolate fondants which i suspect were... More

As locals we stopped here for a quick bite to eat before getting a flight. The staff on entering the restaurant were friendly and welcoming, understood what we wanted immediately... and delivered! As we hadn't much time we declined waiting for the dinner menu and ordered pulled pork paninis.. came with a lovely side salad and skinny chips in a... More

We ate in the restaurant whilst staying recently. A little strange trying to get a seat how the bar & restaurant is laid out - but it was busy & we were treated very well once seated. Decent food, wine & very good value. The rooms for the hotel part were also very nice, with a good wifi service. Great... More
