Very So So

Fantastic waterside location, but that doesn't help on an evening in March. .Length of menu conjures visions of microwaves, and food pretty ordinary .Think this place is geared for crowds of people on nice summers evenings, when the food only one part of the occasion. Popped into this delightful little pub situated where the ferry used to arrive before they built the bridge. I don't know about you but I'm VERY fussy about choosing steak when dining out. It's not just the way it's cooked but also the quality of the meat. I can honestly say that my choice was rewarded by one of the... More

Good food, good portions but the restaurant was cold and the bar area chilly too. A bit of background music would have made a difference. Bar staff seemed a bit miserable but the waitresses were very good and cheerful. Service was quick too. Probably better to visit in the summer months.

Went to Jolly Sailor recently and we had three meals and it came to £45. We only had one course. Staff were friendly and polite and the meal was lovely but it was expensive.

Staff were friendly and the atmosphere good, but I was very disappointed with the food. My starter (a goats cheese and onion tart) was lukewarm around the edges and cold in the middle. The waitress struggled to understand what I meant when I asked if the roast potatoes were vegetarian. We all had a cheesecake pudding which was meant to... More

We fancied a nice fish supper, I had the special - Halibut with buttered garlic prawns. The halibut I was served had the central bone, cooked rubbery and the prawns were really tough, no taste of garlic and the salad which came with the meal was warm, the coleslaw tasteless, beetroot salad some parts were hard. We mentioned our disappointment... More

This is a fantastic antic place for couples or the whole family. Even work parties. Lots of seating in and out, kids can run round outside and throw stones in the water. Waterway views and the nearby Cleddau. Bridge is easy to see. Lots of history hanging up in here to. And you can see the boats and sports happening.... More

After a walk in the area my wife and I stopped here for Sunday lunch it was really busy ( a good sign!) but we were served in a reasonable time. The food was great and the service pleasant so we will certainly return.
