A hidden gem with real character.

Ate there on a Saturday evening for a friends birthday and it was just wonderful. Personally I liked the set up of the hotel and the restaurant next door and since I love the aesthetic of the 1970's , and the hotel had a feel of that, for me it added to it's charm. The food was excellent and... read more

The food was ok, sadly there was no atmosphere though. The staff were friendly and attentive - a little too much at times. Would go back though

Great service, the food was delicious and it was really difficult to choose what to have as the menu is fabulous. We visited on a Saturday evening around 8pm and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Shame as the food and service is great so I would expect it to be very busy. It's slightly out of town and is part... More

Thought the restaurant would be busier on a Saturday during the Easter break. Table of four we all had different starters which were presented beautifully, it felt like the kitchen was miles away as a bit of a delay between dishes arriving for the mains. All food great looking and tasting. Not a big choice of red wines, we were... More

As a regular visitor to the area I am so happy to find this really lovely Thai restaurant in Old Colwyn. We booked a table and when we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the owner. All the food was freshly cooked and delicious, the service throughout was excellent. I cannot recommend the Tamarind highly enough, I... More

Not the best arrival - had to wait in the lobby of the hotel and no-one came when I rang the bell a couple of times, but I ventured through the bar and into the restaurant. The owner was busy taking orders but once I was settled he couldn't have been more helpful. A slightly strange environment - a hotel... More
