Went here for lunch today, with friends and was extremely disappointed. The first problem was the Mediterranean Sharing Board, listed as V for vegetarian, yet includes taramasalata. Since when are fish eggs veggie? I asked if this could be replaced with something else and it was, but if the restaurant wish to continue calling this plate vegetarian, they need to... More

Thank you for posting your review but I understand from my Daughter who tried her best to apologise that everything was done to try and correct this terrible error. The Chef concerned with producing these home made desserts is now no longer with our company. I have replaced her with a Chef trained by a 2 rosette star restaurant. We... More

Very enjoyable meal. The choice of fish dishes was excellent and I wasn't disappointed with my sole. The accompanying vegetables were good, roasted broccoli and sauté potatoes. Starter of baked figs with local Barkham Blue cheese was also very tasty. Service was excellent and coffee came with a Happy Birthday saucer which was a nice touch

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years and it has always been one of our favourites. I last visited a month ago and and was disappointed but didn't write a review thinking it was a one-off. Went back this evening and again the food was disappointing. The printed menu is much reduced of choice with just one... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I appreciate your comments regarding the size of the John Dory fish, we order and sell around 50 of these a week when available to market and are generally between 200g to 300g in weight. We found this size is very popular especially at lunch times, but I agree this... More

Fabulous food, service and atmosphere. Never disappoints. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much trouble. We were the last table of the day - very busy all day - but were given the same grace and service as I'm sure all the other families. Trio of mums very pleased. Thank you very much Gary and staff.

Pleased to have found a cosy village pub restaurant which is very welcoming, along with a good menu choice. It was Monday music night when we visited which was most enjoyable. We will be back soon I am sure

We have been to this restaurant quite a few times, we like Monday evening as they have a Rosti night, with music, which is very pleasant, the food and atmosphere here is very good

A group of 11 of our family met up for a meal at the Golden Pot and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The interesting menu lived up to its promise and every course ordered was very good, with special praise for the monkfish in tempura batter and the chips. The service, criticised by other reviewers, was spot on as far... More

Have tried this a couple of times, really friendly and nice atmosphere of a village pub however although friendly food service was very slow both times and food has been overcooked twice i.e. burnt sausages, its nothing major and would try again but not great.
