The staff were a bit sullen but the big problem was the food. The steak and kidney pie was like a cheap brake bros product. The chips were McCain oven chips or something just as tasteless. My wife's chilli had hardly any meat. My daughter's mac cheese tasted like it came from a tin. The cost was just under £30... More

We recently stayed in the area for a camping holiday and found this restaurant on day 4, by the time we had left we had been 4 times - the facilities are lovely and the food was amazing. There is a good sized garden with a play are for older children then a fenced off area for toddlers. The service... More

I ve visited The Smugglers many times throughout the years and saw a few great live bands play there too when they used to have gig nights, this was probably my 1st visit for 6 years and although we didnt eat here so I cant comment on their food I can certainly say their bar staff could do with a... I came to Milford on Sea yesterday, with 3 friends(average age 74) None of us having ever been there before. We looked at other restaurants in the area, but decided to eat at the Smugglers Inn(lunchtime) as the menu looked more appealing. We walked through a small garden, which had some lovely hanging baskets, and on a hot day,It was lovely to... More

The Smugglers is a pleasant enough pub with decidedly average food. The chips were good, as was the scampi. The pie had a top and a bottom but no sides, but was tasty enough. However, the trio of sausages were a big disappointment: one was completely tasteless with a solid rusk texture and all were made of grisly, poor quality... More

My husband treated myself and son to lunch which was lovely. Staff were very friendly, we sat outside and our son played in the playground. My husband's fish pie was average he said but my son's meal and my beer battered fish and chips were delicious.

I came here with my two and three year old children on Friday 25/7 after a morning at the nearby beach. We were given our table number and sat out in the garden while the children played on the play area. The food arrived and was of a very poor standard. The bread from cheese sandwich was crispy and clearly... More

friendly, clean and a nice garden. Just what we were looking for. Food was a reasonable price, good quality and we did not have to wait long to be served even though it was quite busy. The staff were friendly and we would return and recommend The smugglers.

A fairly ordinary gastro-pub conveniently located in the heart of the village - a good car-park. The food is good, but nothing exceptional - maybe that's a bit harsh because we've never had a poor meal; just fairly standard English pub food - nevertheless, it's fine and good quality. Certainly no complaints at all about the quality of the food.... More
