My sister and I embarked on the 6 course tasting menu a few weeks ago and have not stopped talking about it since! Everything about Verveine is simply perfect, staff are friendly and the food is impeccable. We are already planning our next visit and cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. If you are a foodie, this is the place... More

Another incredible meal at this gem of a restaurant. Every aspect is beautifully thought out and presented. Best fish dish EVER. The 2 or 3 course lunch menu is incredible value for money. We had all six choices between the two of us and each was perfect. Excellent staff too. Can't recommend highly enough.

I absolutely love Verveine. Amazing food, staff and atmosphere. We go every couple of months - always my choice for a special evening out. David is so creative, the starters and garnishes change often and you pick your fish from the board. If you don't like fish don't worry, there's always a meat dish available and David can rustle up... More

Walking into this tiny place, it's very understated. The menu is very simple, either pick a fish and a way you'd like it cooked or opt for one of the tasting menus. We opted for a six course tasting menu, were asked if there was anything we didn't like - "no" - to which the head chef, only meters away,... More

If you like a gastronomic experience, this is the place to go. Fish cooked superbly and with excellent modern twists. The service is also excellent.

I had monkfish, I never get to have monkfish! This is such an unusual place, we walked through a traditional fishmonger (smell et al) & I worried that the smell would follow, but then it's like walking through a wardrobe into narnia! No smell, no fishmonger, just a charming beautiful little restaurant. The food here is like art. It came... More

Another unexpected find. We had booked at the Marine but discovered they had no seafood on the menu so switched at the last minute. They found us a table even though it was close to closing time. The food and service was excellent throughout . Fresh ideas, attention to detail and good cooking bringing little enjoyable twists which make all... More

as another reviewer said you go in through the fish shop with concrete floor and then the restaurant is at the back, past the cooking area to the right and there a few tables on this level which i would not want to sit on as too close but then down the steps into the actual eating area, not massive... I took my girlfriend to this restaurant for her birthday after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor as she is a big sea-food fan, and we were both blown away. Initially I was thrown by entering the small restaurant through the small fish shop, however it added to the quirky element of this warm, intimate and very friendly Establishment. The single...
