Excellent food, attentive service

We had the 10 course tasting menu, and every dish was unique and delicious. We were sat next to the open kitchen and had a wonderful conversation with the head chef throughout the meal. The desserts were especially impressive.

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend living in the area. On visiting during the day, we were impressed by the accolades and reviews in the window (including the fact that the Chef, David Wykes, had worked with top Chefs in London), so booked a table for the evening of our visit to Milford-on-Sea. On arrival - we were... More

This is a very nice fish restaurant, not very big we came here for a special birthday and brought some friends who have dined in many of the best restaurants in England , as have we. It was very good, good value for its original tastes helpful service and no pressure to leave. There are some interesting homemade beverages worth... More

About 30 minutes drive from Limewood Hotel and well worth the effort. Simple decor belies the hidden gem and highest quality food. The Winchester Mash is simply sublime.

This is not the average fish restaurant. It is very special and because it is unusual we loved it. A fish shop in the front and the eating at the back. The menu was creative and the food matched the flair - as did the service.

We have eaten twice at this restaurant and have not been disappointed on both occasions. We just love the first rate food, the knowledgable waiting team and the lovely ambience which together contribute to a wonderful expereince. Yes, it isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. We can't wait to go back when we visit MIlford next.

Having eaten at Verveine on numerous occasions I had no hesitation in signing up for a cookery day. It was both fun,and informative, I tried my hand under the guidance of Chef David at filleting both round and flat fish, shelling scallops cooking and promptly eating them! Squid, bread making, pasta and more! It was nice to meet a couple... More

Wonderful s'amuse bouche, bread, starter and main course. Cooked to perfection and the dessert was out of this world. A wonderful experience.

Having eaten here on many occasions, I am pleased to say that the standard remains high. You have only got to watch David Wykes, the owner/chef at work in his open kitchen to see the amount of care he puts into each plate of food. An earlier reviewer mentioned Pebble Beach restaurant, just along the coast. In our experience the... More
