I picked this restaurant after deciding to visit the New Forest for a day trip on my husbands birthday and reading other reviews. What a treat. The food was phenomenal - fresh, amazing flavours and beautifully presented. It was very quiet at lunchtime but the service was excellent. We will definitely return.

We had intended to visit another eating place in Milford, but once there we changed our minds and went instead to Verveine and had a most wonderful lunch, staff pleasant and food tasted really great. Only down side we were the only people in the restaurant so it lacked atmosphere.

Always find that the Xmas taster lunch is outstanding value and full of surprises. Took another couple with us this year and they were very impressed . Guess we shall be back again before next Christmas. Make sure you try the daily taster lunch at some point this year. Service is outstanding. Guess its all been said

A modern presentation of fish food, the ambience is good and every dish is interesting. I would have liked more detailed descriptions on the menu, but the staff were very willing to take time to explain the dishes and their evolution. Overall a pleasant lunch.

Hubby and I were coming from Beaulieu motor museum and wanted to have lunch in Lymington. What was meant to be a satnav peg turned out to be a surprising dining experience. The food was fresh - not just because it was the catch of the day but more so because the chef produced flavours we've never tasted before. Will... More

Went with friends to enjoy wonderful flavoursome food. The chef knows his fish and the evening was one of differing mouth watering tastes. The wine list is good and not expensive. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Milford has a number of excellent eating places but this one stands out. Cannot wait to try the tasting menu and the... More

Having been fortunate to eat at many great restaurants, Verveine seems like an unexpected blend of Dinner by Heston Blumenthal crossed with Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester. The food was spectacular (i still can't quite believe dessert) and the value incredible when you consider the quality of ingredients and standard of cooking. I love this place - quite simply spectacular.
