I don't often write reviews on trip advisor ....for the simple reason ...if 1 thing goes wrong ..i.e wine not available ..booking name slightly wrong ...guests use it as an excuse to take apart people's livelihood .. I could also do what everyone else does, and say I have eaten in the " top restaurants in the world blah blah... More

This is a very special restaurant. The food is fabulous and very different. My starter was served on a piece of rock - it was lovely! We were also served a nibble, while we waited for our starters, and this was served in a tiny flowerpot - it looked like little leafy radishes and we could eat everything in the... More

I don't know why it's taken me so long to visit this amazing restaurant. Every mouthful was a joy. The whole experience was magical and fun and so unlike anything else in this area. Ok, it comes at a price but worth every penny and the perfect place for a celebration. Hope there is lots to celebrate in 2015. Best... More

Verveine serves Innovative and delicious food. Combining superbly fresh ingredients with amazing cooking. Good service and a very good wine list. The restaurant is quite small and has an open kitchen. You may have to make your reservation some time in advance - particularly at the weekend but it's the wait! It's not cheap but it is worth the price... More

As the brilliant trip advisor has pointed out that this is the fourth time I have reviewed Verveine (and I know I have not reviewed every time I have eaten there) I am thinking of asking if they could just give me a bed behind the fish counter. I guess the other diners might think it a bit odd if... More

I don't usually leave any review but this should be said. Verveine is an unusual restaurant, a real surprise. You wouldn't expect such a sophisticated cuisine while opening the door and entering. The waitress who served us (an Hungurian girl) was very kind, helpful and friendly. The dining area is warm, every detail has been selected carefully. Since the moment... More

awesome fish dishes. Great English wine.....yes I did say English! Have the pre-desert liquorice ice cream with sherbert, it is phenomenal. Friendly and attentive service. Definitely deserves 5 stars but I have withheld one star as the acoustics are not good. Meal interrupted by loud drunk woman 3 tables away. They need to hang some paintings or soft materials to... I am a sea food lover, and this restaurant really had exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend it. The place itself is tastefully decorated, the staff is knowledgable and very pleasant and the the food is amazing! Every bite was a taste sensation! I will definitely be back, but not too often, as this place is really special, so will... More

I just want to say thank you to the owner and staff at Verveine for making my birthday extra special last Saturday. We had some of the most stunning food we've ever tasted. We had a table for 8 and the service was exceptional as well. We will definitely be coming back!

Our 3rd visit and just as fantastic and innovative as ever. This time we did the 8 course tasting menu with matching wines and salivated the whole way through. You get to try different things this way and chef does definitely know what works best with each fish. I took a photo of each course as they are all presented... More
