Good quality food at a good price

Stayed in Cadnam whilst on a short family break to Paultons Park. Wanted somewhere else to eat as choices at our hotel were limited and overpriced. This is a review of two visits made this month. First was for a booked party of eight plus two infants during the Easter school holiday and the second unbooked on the first Monday after the school Easter Holiday. This is a comfortable, friendly and accommodating pub/restaurant on the edge of the New Forest. Several dining areas and a bar... More

Stopped for a light lunch and ordered 2 soups, meal took over thirty minutes to arrive and some persons who ordered larger meals such as Fish and Chips, after we arrived , were served long before we were. Small portions, plus No reasons given for delay, this was disappointing.

I recall having had lunch here about 6 years ago before I became a reviewer. It was a nice day so we sat outside, which was clean and well kept. The food is very Pub Menuish, but there is a good selection and also some very good Hampshire beers from small breweries. The staff were polite and attentive. Service was... More

Sat at the pub in the Sun writing this review, we only called in for a beer miss the traffic but the food sounded so nice we stayed for a meal. Food was excellent, beer was cold, only thing missing was a few dog biscuits for Eddy, he did get a bowl of water though. Recommended, we will be back!

Just come back from lunch in the White Hart. We hadn't booked, just walked in, grabbed a drink at the bar and asked if there was a table. Shown a table by friendly staff and ordered our food. Food arrived promptly, was well cooked and pleasantly served. It's pub grub, not haute cuisine but done really well, not just pinged... More

We stopped here after a walk in the forest on a warm day in April. It was a late lunch so the pub wasn't busy and had a relaxing atmosphere. There was a large garden and the pub was dog friendly. Service was good and the light lunch of a steak baguette and bacon and Brie baguette with fries was... More

I went to the White Hart during the school Easter holidays on the evening time after a long day out at Peppa Pig world with my family. The pub/restaurant is located just outside of Lyndhurst and has a reasonable sized car park along with a decent outside area for drinks & meals. There is a childrens playground which was in... More

We ordered 2 starters to share whilst waiting for the mains, it was a busy day at the pub and it was all go. The starters came and went and so did other peoples mains who had ordered after us, not...
