Very enjoyable freshly prepared food from a relatively limited menu. Some adventurous food combinations that work well. Dishes more gastro-pub dishes than simpler pub food.Pleasant comfortable surroundings and friendly staff. Available wine was good but limited choice. (Virtually) Step-free access to bar/restaurant and toilets. Well worth a visit. Busy at weekends so booking advisable. Locally sourced produce.

The Falcon does not get the credit it deserves. The proprietor is an excellent chef in his own right and the food is always first class. He lays on marvellous occasions - New Year's Eve was the greatest fun with a superb buffet at very reasonable cost. It would be good to see the Falcon full every night - it... More

My wife and I love this charming little pub, we have visited several times and each time it has been great. Friendly staff, good service and the food is superb. Another benefit is that we can bring our dog!, its getting harder and harder to find places that allow pooches these days with most of the chains outright banning them!... More

Went for a late Sunday roast yesterday evening and can say that the falcon definitely did not disappoint! The barman was attentive and helpful - I have visited several times and the staff are always so down to earth and friendly. As always, the food was second to none with the venison cooked beautifully!! The chefs here are very talented!... More

Recently bought my fiancé here as I though it would be a nice treat as I have been away on business. I must say I was not disappointed. It would seem that your chef really has his head screwed on! We had the roast beef I can't say I know how it was cooked but it was done to perfection!... More

I felt I really must add my comments about this wonderful establishment. We visited The Falcon for a quick lunch today to be met with a very warm friendly greeting as usual. The staff here always make our visits special and the service was once again beyond reproach. We were served quickly and our food arrived promptly. Just what you... More

The peregrine falcon is the fastest bird in the world, having been measured diving at up to 242mph. Having named their establishment after such an illustrious, record breaking creature, one would assume that the patrons of The Falcon Inn would want to provide at least a prompt level of service. Unfortunately, the restaurant seemed to operate closer to the speed... More

Went for a Sunday lunch with friends. We were warned that there would be a 45 minute wait for food, however it took them about 30 minutes to even take the food order. The 2 waitresses were very pleasant and polite when you could finally get their attention however that was a task in itself. The food selection was reasonable... More
