I needed a small private function in my house to celebrate my wife's birthday. Lee and his staff at the Falcon were recommended to me by a friend. There were some very specific requirements such as timing and the all the food needed to be gluten free. Well the result was outstanding they arrived with all the kit early in... More

traditional inside and out, not over modernised. We met friends there for lunch on Saturday and were amazed at how quiet it was. Service was fine. There were in effect 2 menus - a standard bar menu and an a la carte lunch menu with plenty of choice and specials. The menu was imaginative. Starters included John Dory and creamed... More

Arriving in Rotherwick on a nostalgic journey to relive past times lived while a boy at the now prestigious Tylney Hall, we walked in to the Falcon pub. We were duly met with a warm welcome and excellent hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble. The food so great at lunch time we went back for dinner and was not disappointed... More

Not far off the beaten track from the M3 near Hook this place is worth a visit. Re John R's comment I can see that the staffing is a little light however when I was there two days ago, we were dealt with promptly and the gent serving at the front of house had that personal touch and showed genuine... Used to use The Falcon a lot when I lived this nearby. Called in today as I was passing to see how things are. Bar was deserted with a small group in the resteraunt. No one behind the bar. Waited a few minutes and a waitress appeared to fetch a glass of wine for a diner. I was totally ignored... More

An excellent pub, quiet, would like to have seen it busier. However, the food was EXCELLENT. My friend had Mussels & bread as a starter, then Fish Goujons for the main course; she couldn't finish the main. I had a wonderful Crab Samosa etc & a small portion of the Fish Goujons (I couldn't finish this either! My friend has... More

I have visited four times over the past few months and have already planned to visit again! The first was eating with family and was pleasantly surprised at how the pub has been refurbished. It has character without being too dingy and old fashioned like many other traditional country pubs. The most recent visits have been for their Curry night,... More

So the good things, it's a lovely pub, in a rural village, the staff were very friendly and very attentive. But the food has to be one of the worst I have had in years. Both my wife's and my starter tasted like they had been deep fried in old oil. We both had fish dishes for main, my cod... More

The Falcon Inn is a gem within a quiet village with a warm atmosphere. Lee has refurbished the place to high standard allowing guests to be spoilt for choice about where to sit and relax. There is a beautiful garden area at the back overlooking the countryside. The food is succulent and well presented, the menu allows for children to... More
