Fantastic food but service could be improved.

I really can't believe some of the poor reviews on here as the food has always been fresh, delicious & good quality. As someone who had visited here on a regular basis since it opened, I have never had a disappointing meal. The king prawn purée, chicken tikka pieces, madras, special Towa chicken... read more

We visit the Crown of India most Thursday evenings for our weekly Indian meal fix. The food never disappoints and service is always of a similar high quality. Recommend this restaurant to those who love Indian cuisine.

Firstly I have been to the Crown of India several times. On each occasion the food has been very good, however the service has always been comical. A slow meal doesn't bother us, but I can understand why people get upset with it. We waited 25 minutes before our drinks order was taken and served. I had duck tandoori, delicious... More

Visited here with friends this evening. Arrived for our booked table to be told we had to wait! Then when we were finally seated, we had to wait around 25 minutes for somebody to take a drinks order, our drinks arrived after yet another 20 minute wait. Following this, we had to stand up to call a waiter to take... More
