I came here with my mother and grandmother for a lunch. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the food was superb. The food is all home made and the cakes are arguably the best on the Wirral. A beautiful tucked away gem!

Just discovered this excellent gem of a tea room where the owners are really friendly and welcoming. The food is all homemade and we had trouble choosing from the tempting choice of savoury pies and gorgeous cakes. We will be back very soon!

I was turned away at the door because they'd decided to close earlier than advertised. I won't be going back again. The good thing, though, is I went to Smooth cafe a short walk away, and it turned out to be much nicer in every way!

How lovely to find a tea rooms that still have character and atmosphere. The staff are lovely and how nice to see that they knew the names of all of their customers.I Went here with my mum today for lunch and I have to say the sandwiches on home made bread were delicious. Its very rare to find a Restaurant/Bistro etc that you have had the experience of such an excellent meal to return on a further 2 or 3 occasions and still find the quality so outstanding. The homemade bread is just lovely as are the mains, but if you find a better selection of puddings on Merseyside by all means let... More

We often visit Chantilly for lunch and find the food and service reliably worthwhile, certainly a very good option in the area. There's enough room to find a table and the atmosphere is 'traditional tea room', relaxed and civilised. The food is good, conventional fare, with a selection of pies, sandwiches and cakes offering something for everyone within the range... More

Recommended this to a friend on the basis of a sandwich lunch here in the summer. We had lunch today - perhaps I just made a bad choice but the turkey 'pie of the day' was mainly gravy with stuffing and smalls bit of turkey and cranberry. Chips were crisp on outside, fluffy on inside but with a slightly lingering... More

Brought my sister and her husband here for lunch and loved it! Great choice of food for small cafe and cakes were to die for. I had scouse which was packed with flavour. A wonderful retreat on a cold day. Try it you wont be disappointed. Only drawback is its cash only no cards.

Visited Hoylake with friends in august, had a late dessert-y breakfast. Stopped in for tea and scones along with a few other desserts. The baker/owner, Les, has a very inspirational passion for what he does. Make sure to get a hug from him before you leave.
