Chantilly owners are very friendly and always stop for a chat which makes you feel exceptionally welcome. Food is delicious, homemade bread, cakes and plenty of filling in the sandwiches. Great atmosphere and good for people watching too if you sit by the windows. Would recommend.

Called here by chance as we were in the area. Had a prawn sandwich with Marie Rose sauce on home made granary which was lush and lemon cheesecake for dessert.... Divine!!! It's a family run business the dad bakes all the cakes. We will defo be back and soon. Glad we stumbled on it!

Lone cyclist here today, looked nice - I'd been visiting shop next door for wrap around specs! Looking at menu & saw sign saying cash only. Being on a bike I hadn't brought much cash (£7) - very nice tuna/mayo sandwich & coffee, just over my max but sorted. I'll be back thanks

We cycled from our campsite and looked for a coffee shop in Hoy Lake. We stumbled across Chantilly and were very glad we did. The cakes were amazing and all home made. The staff were so friendly and took time to come to the table and chat. Wil revisit when next in the Wirrall.

Our first stop in Hoylake where we had come for The Open golf tournament was the Chantilly Bakery. It is charming bakery with outdoor seating and a lovely indoor atmosphere as well. We had the scones with jam and clotted cream and thought we had died and gone to heaven. The proprietor, who is also the pastry chef/ baker, of... More

I have been visiting Chantilly with family and friends for a few years now and love it love it love it. Les bakes everything himself and nothing is too much trouble. The staff get to know their customers and I never need to order my drinks any more as Collette has them ready in a jiffy on a Saturday morning.... More

Popped in here twice whilst 'The Open' was on, food was consistently good, well presented and tasty.. Nice array of Quiches and Cakes in the two counter display cabinets. It's with a heavy heart that I make the following comments I'm hoping they are taken in the spirit of wanting to see a good family business turn into a great... More

I love this little place, its all about the food and quality. Not a fan on the service could do with a couple of younger smiling faces. But never the less i regularly try and get a table. Breakfast should be served later, maybe open sundays. Apart from that i would recommend anybody to go all the food is good!!

We called in here ravenous after a great bike ride along the promenade from New Brighton. We had sandwiches made with excellent home made, deliciously fresh granary bread, followed by scones and clotted cream. Lashings of cream, beautifully presented, and with perfectly ripe berries and scone was absolutely perfection: light inside and just the right amount of crispness on the... More

Having written the first review for Chantilly its great to write the 100th. Les and Pam (and all the staff) thoroughly deserve all the plaudits they get for their food, cakes, pies etc., atmosphere and warm welcome. I know there's been a few review saying its not a restaurant...and they're right, it is a tearoom par excellence, that serves up... More
