Visited for a Sunday roast with the family. Was pleased we were able to get a table short notice and that we were able to sit in the nice pub garden. Food was brought out quickly. Despite this we only had one vegtable dish between four people (1 piece of cauliflower, 2 pieces of broccoli and loads of sweed mash... More

Four of us went to this picturesque old Pub for lunch on the off chance, as we hadn't booked, but the staff were pleasant and welcoming, especially the proprietors, and a table was found. The food was good, freshly cooked and made from a high standard of ingredients such as locally sourced meat. The menu was interesting with a good... More

Visited this lovely country pub restaurant last week for the first time and was massively impressed. On arriving, was greeted warmly by the pleasant staff who could not have made me and my family feel more welcome. All four of us had the Sunday Lunch with deserts, which were delicious!! Very reasonably priced with good old fashioned speciality bitters it... More

We held our daughters christening party at this venue and were really happy with the help in planning and the day itself. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to help the day go smoothly. It was unfortunate that there was very bad weather on the morning of the event with high winds and rain expected all day.... More

We went here for lunch after a walk round the aquadome with our dog. We were going to eat outside in the garden but were pleased to find that dogs are allowed in the bar - even big, wet ones! We were impressed with the menu - lots of things we could have chosen and the beef was sourced from... More

I have visited this quaint village pub many times. The food is good and so is the service and location. Doom Bar (#1 selling cask ale) is always on tap at the Rose and Crown and I have a pint or two when I visit. On more than one occassion, it tasted watered down and very different to Doom Bar... More

We enjoy the drinks and food here, especially the jug of Pimms, Sunday lunch, burger night and ham, eggs and chips. Friendly young staff too and good value. Nice outdoor seating area

We went here for a christening. The family had a marquee at the back of the pub in the well kept gardens. There were lovely views over the fields at the back :) The pub was your traditional little country pub. The buffet was Caribbean food and was lovely. The staff and managers were very nice and friendly.

We visited the Rose and Crown on a Sunday for lunch. We didn't want anything to heavy so opted for sandwiches with fries. To start with we were told that you can't order chunky chips as they only served fries on a Sunday.....why?! There was no choice of bread so we had a tasteless white bordering on stale sandwich that... More

nice location and good food. service was a bit slow but it was an extremely busy day. has a really nice country pub feel to it and cant compliment the food enough. good value for money and the portions were of very good size and the vegetables with the roast were very good and not the usual ones either!
