What a shame that the bigger and supposedly improved cafe was such a let down! We walked into a cramped queuing system and horrible loud music. Not a child friendly or push hair friendly setting at all. We ordered and waited at the end for our coffees where there was no system what so ever, people were taking each other's... More

Hello Firstly many thanks for your feedback, good and bad, we always appreciate it. I can honestly say that the situation you describe is unfamiliar and not something I recognise of ourselves and I would like to think that you have walked in on not only a bad day but a really bad moment as this is not our ‘norm’.... I have visited this cafe on many occasions and have found it to be excellent in every case. The staff are well trained and offer a friendly personalised service. The food is excellent and the atmosphere homely. Barbara Young

What a cute place situated at the start of the walking/cycling route. Timber framed cabin - with rustic interior. Stopped off on the way back from a few circuits around the lake. We only had drinks but they had a nice selection of snacks and some scrumptious looking home-made cakes. We sat outside on a bench table as the boys... More

Amazingly happy staff, brilliant food and excellent service!! The Cafe is not a fast food joint, it's a relaxing tranquil experience, with home made scrumptious everything! Pop in for breakfast or a quiet coffee and cake, we did and it was great! Pease keep up the great work, loved my sunny Sunday breakfast this morning at the Rickmansworth Aquadrome!

I'm really lucky to call this cafe my local. The food is always great, top quality ingredients and good sized portions. The menu choice is pretty exceptional, though I would like to see a few more veggie / vegan choices on the specials board. The staff are really friendly, the manageress always pops over for a chat and a laugh.... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. Funny you should mention Ottolenghi, we are taking our team there this week to look at his glorious cake and salad counter. He is a genius in both those areas! We are glad you are enjoying the quiet room ,we are pleased to have a space that we can offer... More

I would not recommend you eat at this cafe. I visited today and ok it was hot but none of the food was covered and flies were on the food. I mentioned this to a staff member and he said they would do something about. Only one plate of cakes was covered. Cooked food was not covered. None of the... More

As you can imagine we are very disappointed to read your review. The subject of covering cakes has come up before and we have consulted many people on this. It is the current trend (many cafés around the country do the same as us) to leave cakes uncovered. It allows customers to see them properly and it helps our queue... More

This place looks very quaint and appealing so we decided to give it a try. We waited a long time for our order to be brought to the table. I asked several times as we were with a toddler who was hungry. By the time it came, we had to pack it up and take it with us as had... More

Hello I was very sorry to read your email. We send around 90% of our meals out within our 15 minute target. Our café seats around 160 (when full inside and outside) and as we are a café and offer informal dining, we don’t take bookings. This can mean that at any time we get a large number of customers... This is a little bit of a hidden gem. It is a cafe in the middle of a big park with some very nice and healthy food cooked with care, mainly based in a Greek/Eastern Europe base. So it is not a surprise if this small cafe is considered one of the best places to eat in the area, because... More

We have known & loved this cafe ever since it opened. The welcome, the food - the staff became our extended family! When my lovely husband died last month, there was only one place to hold the reception after his funeral. It could not have been a more perfect choice. The studio was ideal to accommodate the approximately fifty friends... More
