Visited here while staying at ribby hall. Can't recommend enough. On walking in with the kids thought oh dear way to posh for us! We couldn't have been made more Welcome. Food was fresh and delicious the staff friendly and helpful. Even when our 2 year old landed her plate on the floor nothing was to much trouble. An extensive... More

Myself and two friends visited looking to eat just after 9pm after seeing that food is served until 10pm on the website. We were dealt with by a waitress who seemed 'pleased as punch' to reveal to us that they had stopped serving food and sent away with our tails between our legs. Very disappointing!

We recently visited for my partner's birthday. The normal menu was very extensive and there was also a Monday to Thursday specials menu and a Christmas menu to choose from. Even for a Tuesday night the pub was fairly busy with a good atmosphere. The service was excellent and the waitresses a cut above, going the extra mile. It was... More

Haven't been to the grapes for a number of years (used to visit all the time) and it was still as fantastic as ever. Had the special christmas menu and the food and service was exceptional.

I recently booked dinner at the Grapes and was pleased by how warm and cosy the dining room was. We chose a sharing fisherman's platter to start and this was really good and filling! For main course I chose the 9 oz rump steak cooked medium rare which came with all the trimmings, and my wife chose Mediterranean vegetable ravioli... More

We had a really nice evening here last weekend. It was our first time here, we came for the Festive Menu for dinner. When we arrived the table set for us was a nice surprise with gold decorations and two christmas crackers to pop open. Overall, the food was nice. Both of us had the Chorizo Bubble & Squeak with... We stayed at nearby Ribby Hall and book a meal at the Grapes to celebrate the the birthdays of several family members. Our party numbered 24 in total. When we arrived, our tables had been decorated with balloons etc. everyone enjoyed their meals the risotto was the best I've had. Once again I'd like to thank the hardworking staff for... More

I eat here fairly regularly by my standards and I am usually very impressed with the food and service. I dined there with my daughter and ordered the Venison medium rare but was served well done. I did comment to the front of house staff and was advised the manager would come to see me. However he didnt but water... More

Came here with my Grandma and had a great meal. Ken the landlord was very attentive to my G'ma who had had an accident recently and made her feel very special and valued as a customer. An excellent pub.
