This is the place to go if you are hungry and don’t want to spend a lot. We ordered the carvery and were given generous quantities of meat and a decent choice of vegetables.

I've been here several times with a large family after a very long journey. Lord Louis is what it is: pay at the counter, take your own drinks, serve your own food and feel full. The food isn't spectacular but for the cheap price you pay it's good stuff. Great for families on a budget or looking for a quick... More

Visited this place for a roast dinner and had to wait a lifetime to get served at the bar! This was then followed by a huge queue at the carvery to then be greeted with the scraps of dry meat that was left, no beef at only 6pm on a Sunday!!! When I asked for some chicken and gammon, I... More

This is a good mid week or Sunday for a Carvery meal when you can't be bothered to cook. (All those pans) Its good that you can help yourself to a good selection of vegetables and the Roast Potatoes are nearly always cooked crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, the only downside is they are very stingy... Visited the Lord Louis on Sunday and have noticed it has gone downhill. Although there were staff cleaning the tables, it was still very dirty. The highchair was left dirty from a previous user and therefore we had to clean it ourselves when asking for it to be cleaned. The food was what you would have expected during the week... More

Typical cheap and not to cheerful food just average. It must suit a lot of people as it always seems to be busy maybe because it cheap. Not my scene

The food was ok, but it was a bit of a meat market, I assume their business is based on turnover not so much quality, there are better value carverys locally, all in all it was decent cheap food, but the layout and atmosphere where not for me

Tried breakfast wished I hadn't, I accept scrambled egg made with powder but not completely dry, no brown sauce available Coffee poor. We didn't bother going up again, they had an opportunity to impress and blew it big style.
