3 time in a row that we have gone to this place and been given list of food missing of menu, long wait for food and then when you do get the food you spend 2/3 minutes arguing with someone about what should be on the plate. Will not be going back and strongly recommend anyone else deciding to go... read more

The treacle mine is a lovely family pub and quite large with a nice outside area for kids to play. It has regular football on TV for people like myself who love it so can go out leave the kids with dad in the garden and watch footy with my girlfriends! Has good beers on too, I haven't been on... Nothing to encourage a return visit. Staff not charismatic and welcoming. You have to find a table then go to the bar to order and then collect cutlery and napkins. Food average to poor quality. Ribs over cooked - when cooked properly the meat should fall off the bone not chewed off. There has to be enough meat on the... More

Went to the Treacle Mine today with a friend. The place was busy but it was so easy and hassle free to order the meal and we didn't have to wait long for it either. The salad was really fresh with lovely, crispy lettuce and the fish and chips nice and, the meal hotcooked meals nice and hot. The pub... More

Not enough staff to cope with the volume of customers. The result is poor customer service. Food is reasonable however.

We've just tried the new breakfast menu at the Treacle Mine. Lots of choice, very good prices (£2.79 for a full English and £1 for unlimited tea or coffee), quick service, nice environment. I'm gluten free and they were happy to advise on options and change around elements I couldn't have without charging extra - though do make sure they... More

called in Friday eve after leaving an empty Harvester with a 45 min wait for food. much better menu choice and very reasonably priced. This is a branded pub and as such, the menu is done on a grander scale yet it is a menu I found very appealing. It was well cooked, promptly served and very well recieved. Having... More

Went here with family to have a meal.......outside the restaurant was rubbish, food and when we entered there was so disorganised we turned and left! Have eaten here before and not had a problem, but they had staff shortages and let a few couples sit at a table for 4-6 people!!

I have read some of the reviews and I must say there are some very grumpy people around. Me my wife and kids come here once a week now and the food is great every time. We order off the daily deals menu with a drink for two adults and two children and it comes in at about £25. Great... More
