Unfortunately the restaurant has closed down. Such a shame. Just not enough business I presume, but really is a loss.

Being going to cafe Lowrey for years now. However the last time the food was poor. Steak was served with a Anchovies purée has to be the worst mix I have ever had. My guest ordered Halibut only to be told sold out 7 pm. Then cheese board had a few of the cheeses missing as again out of stock... More

As ever, fantastic food, excellent service and a great atmosphere. This place never disappoints, it delivers high quality dishes that would grace restaurants costing twice as much.

We only managed to reserve a lunchtime table for 2.15pm on Mother's Day. The restaurant was packed but.....the service was friendly, extremely efficient (without being rushed) and the food simple and excellent. The beef was rare, the yorkshires ENORMOUS, the roast potatoes crisp on the outside and soft centred. The whole experience made for such an enjoyable, relatively low key... More

We have been twice in the last month and on both occasions the food was good and service excellent. We had the early bird menu which was good value. the only disappointment was that the vegetarian main course option was risotto on both occasions. The other main course options were more varied each time.

We visited Cafe Lowrey again and as with previous visits it didn't fail to impress. The food was excellent, We both opted for the fillet steaks for mains and couldn't fault them. The staff were really attentive and service was impeccable. If you appreciate good food and and looking to choose from an extensive well selected wine list I'd suggest... More

We used to come here often when we lived in Ponteland, but have not been here for several years. Off the cuff decision to eat here tonight - so glad we chose to eat here. Fabulous meal, attentive and friendly service. Not cheap, but well worth the trip and the cost. We had scallops with black bean vinegraite, crayfish cocktail,... More

We visited the restaurant on our wedding anniversary at the beginning of December using vouchers given to my husband by some good friends for a milestone birthday in September. Our friends know that I love to eat a variety of dishes whereas my husband likes traditional but good qualiy, food and having visited Cafe Lowery themselves were sure that this... More
