Booked a table for 12noon which was perfect timing. Friendly greeting upon arrival each course delivered in a timely manner we even got extra veg which was brilliant. Can't fault the food my friend ordered soup which he didn't like and didnt eat so the server kindly, without request, removed from our final bill. Excellent friendly service.

We had lunch here and the rib eye steaks were really good and cooked to perfection. Other courses were good too and prices were reasonable. The pub itself is a lovely old building with both a restaurant and a bar (where you can also eat).

We stopped here on the recommendation of our B&B owner. "Make sure you book!" he said and we are glad we did. It was packed due to half term and bank holiday and we were lucky to get a table. Staff were helpful and polite although perhaps not being served by too many different waiters would be better. However, very... More

Visited the restaurant with some friends a couple off weeks ago. Was quite disappointed. I had fish and chips which were mediocre. My friends meals were not great either. There was a very limited choice of dishes for vegan and vegetarians although they did find me a dairy free brownie from somewhere which was nice. To be fair, the restaurant... More

A popular pub in this lovely part of Wales. Whilst the amount of food was generous, and reasonably priced, it was typical pub food. We did go on the Bank holiday weekend, and on both nights the pub was full. They do have accommodation although we stayed in a local B&B

Our visit as a party of seven was on a busy Sunday lunch time, so I didn't expect fast service, but I didn't think we would be waiting over an hour for our food - nightmare with a toddler! I ordered a veggie dish without the cheese - but that was too complicated as when the food arrived it had... More

This was one of the most baffling dining out experiences we have ever had. The manager tried his best to put it right by giving us free desserts and apologising, but the many mistakes were basic and frankly astonishing. My starter of cockles and laverbread was very nice, but my husband ordered brown potted shrimps and was brought some standard... More

I took my Dad here for his birthday lunch on Sunday as this is his favourite pub to go to when visiting me. He loves the 'rustic' appeal of the bar area and the beers on offer. Now, I'm a vegan so I was fully prepared to have a sad salad or some fries but the chef very kindly made... More

Stopped here for lunch with family (including the dog) after a walk around Arthur's Stone nearby. Having the dog with us we chose to eat at the tables on the grassy area across from the pub. Enjoyed well-kept beer and good simple "pub lunch" food from the bar menu - the ploughman's lunch with Perl Las blue cheese (local to... More
