Went for my Mother in Law's 91st birthday, food was excellent and the service was attentive. I'm extremely fussy and the only issue was a curry taste in the soup which I don't like and wasn't expecting, but thats more to do with my limited range of likes! We will be going back soon

Great food, great service. Nice to see there are still great places to go around Wrexham. Took the recommendations of the staff on what to try and was rewarded with an excellent evening. Look forward to our next visit. Keep up the good work guys!

Visited on the recommendations of our son. Driven by lots of times but never stopped. Lovely surprise, clean open feel to the bar and restaurant. No fuss, just good local food, without ramming the provenance down your throat or inflated prices! Friendly efficient staff, family owned and run. Definitely will not be passing by again! Diamond lunch for over 60's on... More

tried here again, hoping that the service and attention to detail had improved over the last few months. Sadly not! How on earth an establishment on which so much money has been spent can get things so wrong is beyond me.On a day when front of house staff outnumbered customers, food items were missed off our order,we waited an extraordinary long time... We went to the cross Howell for a special anniversary dinner and we were not disappointed! From booking the table a week earlier to leaving the restaurant full on gorgeous food, the staff could not have been more helpful. The waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu and wine list and helped us decide on a bottle by... More

We have just visited Croes Howell for Sunday lunch, could not fault food or service. We were given a warm welcome and even though we were a little early, we were asked if we would like to go to our table. We requested a table by the window which we had with wonderful views across the countryside. We all had... More

Heard such good reviews, so thought we'd try it out. Good choice of food on the Sunday set menu. Presentation lovely. Chicken satay salad, came with 5 small pieces of chicken sat on lettuce. New one came with salad items, when queried. Pate tasted slightly different!! Lovely beef roast dinner. Needed a chisel to cut through the fatty bits. Dessert... More

Rotten strawberry which someone had cut in half, welsh cakes more like stones, strawberry filo in puff pastry? Coffee instant . Would I go back or recommend on service and food sorry its... More
