Nestled on the banks of the River Alyn in the pretty village of Rossett North Wales, The Alyn Riverside Country Pub offers excellent food and boasts a unique riverside setting...Combined with a warm and friendly welcome, The Alyn is much more than the average village pub. We have recently welcomed abroad a new award winning head chef and we are very keen to show off his talent. We are now working even harder to produce the best locally sourced, home cooked food possible.

Pies were good, mash was a lump and peas were in a small white side dish. Morrocan chicken was eat - but not what we thought... More

Popped in here for some lunch on our way home after visiting the Grosvenor Garden Centre which is just up the road.We were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. The menu was very comprehensive - plenty of choice and for a small pub lots of interesting sounding dishes. We ate off the lunchtime menu and were surprised by the size of... I had a very good impression on this restaurant until the second visit. We ordered their new dishes - Salmon salad and Morrocan chicken. Salmon salad came with no dressing and the waitress said its supposed to be like that, which was wrong. They did bring salad dressing later after we already started eating the salad. Morrocan chicken was cold... More

Called in hoping to watch the football on TV but it was not showing however the manager kept giving us updates of the game so we decided to stay and have lunch. Loved the food and ambience so after spending the day in Chester decided to return for our evening meal. Was very impressed, the waitresses recognised us straight away... More

We visited The Alyn on Saturday 22.8.15, as a group of 4. There was a storm outside and we were all soaked, but the staff greeted us with towels to dry ourselves off, and seated us at a lovely table by the bar. The Alyn was absolutely packed, but all of the staff were very organised and service was great.... More

After seeing the negative reviews below , I was so pleased to get lovely food and service for my daughter and I at 2:30pm .The Cajun... More

Lovely country pub, great location. Nice to sit outside by the river if the weather is good. Food very good and well presented, menu not to big. Staff very friendly and helpful.
