although the food and service were both ok I have had as good as, for a smaller charge there must be a trmemendous mark up and I know I can get as good as or better for alot less than we paid

Went to the alyn on Saturday 19th July with my partner, great food, ribeye was cooked to perfection, my partner had the lamb rump dish which she said was to die for. Very attentive service considering how busy the pub was too. Will definitly be making the trip back

Being a robust pub expert I'm always in the look out for a decent pie and a good pint of ale so I was delighted to have both at this riverside pub. Beef and ale pie with a horseradish mash on top with some lovely buttered greens and a small jug of extra gravy (which you normally have to ask... More

A warm and friendly pub, with great service and loads of smiles. We had lunch and a couple of glasses of the house wine (red, was good for house wine). Enjoyed fish cakes with pickled salad. Tasty. Good price. Found it quite difficult to choose a meal as the menu and specials board were quite comprehensive. Will probably pop in... More

We were a group of ten. We had to ask the waitress to come and take our order. The food when it eventually came was ok but nothing special, boiled potatoes were cold. We were not asked if everything was ok or if we wanted a dessert course. We had to seek out a waitress to order teas and coffees.... More

Had a fantastic family meal at the Alyn, all staff were most welcoming and accommodating, service was delightful and the quality of food matched. Personally I had the fish and chips and the standard of both taste and presentation was very high. My family and I will certainly be returning to the Alyn as there is a lovely atmosphere which... We sat outside by the river which is a good setting. Soda water and lime had no lime in it! Drinks and food took a very long time to come with no warning. Mistakes occurred like no chutney on cheese board, argued that we hadn't ordered a wine when we had so it came after we had finished eating! Staff... More

Having eaten here many times and recommended the place to friends. I would like to say this place has hit the rocks, quality and price wise. I took my husband and mother-in-law for a meal. My mother-in-law wanted the Fillet steak that she had last time we took her. This had been removed from the menu so she ordered the... More

The alyn is mine and my families local. It's a lovely pub and I am yet to eat there yet. I've been there a couple of times for drinks and thi gs which has always been a pleasant experience. The pub is always full on the weekend which is nice. The food looks delicious when I see it coming out.
