Nestled on the banks of the River Alyn in the pretty village of Rossett North Wales, The Alyn Riverside Country Pub offers excellent food and boasts a unique riverside setting...Combined with a warm and friendly welcome, The Alyn is much more than the average village pub. We have recently welcomed abroad a new award winning head chef and we are very keen to show off his talent. We are now working even harder to produce the best locally sourced, home cooked food possible.

Sunday lunch

A nice Sunday Lunch good value well served with a varied selection of veg. Service was good and pleasant, it's location on the river will make it very popular when it gets warmer.

We enjoyed a really tasty lunch in the Allyn. I had the Cajun chicken salad which was lovely and my other half had the Allyn burger which was huge and tasty, very good service in beautiful surroundings.

Recommended if you like Fish & Chips, they do a big fish if you want one. Friendly service and good beers.

We were recommended by our waitress to order 2 sharing platters-one meat and one fish. They were delicious! It was my first visit to the Alyn and I will definitely be returning. The service was very friendly and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyable evening :)

Family get together midweek took us to the Alyn, full menu available even when we turned up at 3pm. Great selection of dishes including 'light bites' that my gran is a fan of with her smaller appetite. Only slight error was the waitress forgot we asked for coffee and puddings but it was a simple misunderstanding and she promptly took... More

Four of us visited on Saturday 31st Jan2015 for an evening meal. The service was generally ok and the food acceptable, although they did bring a cheesecake desert out to us which we hadn't ordered. We turned it away and thought no more about it. So during our visit we were reasonably happy with the evening. We spent nearly £190... More

Dear Proudgran I am so sorry to read that you were not happy with the response we gave to your telephone call. Very nice sea bass and the chicken sizzler really sizzled! It was a lunch time and not that busy but the service was a bit patchy to be honest. Nice seating outdoors by the river - but not in January! Worth a visit but not a rush back.
