Went for Sunday lunch on the 20th July. The set menu was excellent, the hand dived scallops and the quail were delicious. Main courses were also exceptional and cooked to perfection. At £16.95 for the courses it is amazing value, given the quality of the food. It's great that it is just along the road and we will definitely be... More

We had a celebration, family Sunday lunch in the Birch Tree and it was fantastic. The set Sunday Roast menu was amazingly extensive and suited every ones' tastes in our party. The food was magnificent with ample portions. We certainly will be returning soon to try their a la carte menu!

We ate here with friends and I thought the food was terrific and would recommend to anyone. I can eat, but be warned, you'll know you've had three courses. Read comments about the furnishings? but I felt welcome and the place is not at all pretentious. Back to the food..my steak was as ordered medium rare. I can't remember the... More

we have been to The Birch Tree a few times now with family. We have always had a lovely meal and the staff are very pleasant indeed. We would definitely recommend The Birch Tree if you are in The Highlands.

Had lunch at The Birch Tree on a Saturday - there were only the three of us in the restaurant and I just don't know why? This is one of the best meals that I have had in the area, with excellent service and nice surroundings. Food was amazing, fresh and beautifully cooked. Portion size was just right and the... More

Excellent food, flavours and textures. A bargain! OK, a little out of the way, but it is worth the journey. Not sure if they can make any profit at these prices but get there before too many people find out. Nice relaxed atmosphere and staff very attentive. Just go!

We had booked a meal here after hearing all the positive comments locally and we weren't disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome. The disabled access was very good too. The food was excellent - I had the wood pigeon, steak and sticky toffee pudding and they were all out of this world. Everyone... More

What a fantastic place. A talented chef runs this kitchen. I had two dishes which were the best I have ever had, anywhere - the blue cheese soufflé and the lemon tart. Quite stunning. The rice pudding soufflé was amazing and the steaks just delicious. A memorable meal made special by a lovely waitress. So much better than most eating... More

Went with friends last night, awful night weather wise rain, wind, but as soon as we stepped into the Birch Tree we forgot about what was outside. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who made us feel very welcome who sat us down in a pleasant lounge area served us with drinks and menus and let us all... More

My wife treated me to a birthday meal at the Birch Tree and I was really impressed. The dining room is warm and relaxing with a real cozy feel to it. The staff were really friendly and and helpful with nothing being too much bother. For starters we had the Wild Mushroom soup and the Blue Cheese Souffle which were... More
