We visited this restaurant as part of a birthday celebration on Sat 16th Aug. On arrival I found it to be very picturesque and the car park very full.( a god sign I thought) My husband ordered a Rose Wine and a pint of larger....the bill £10.39! Next we come to the starters we opted for the special, Mushroom/blue cheese... More

We found this pub driving back from Christchurch to Ringwood This is a Fuller's pub. There was an extensive menu of mainly standard pub grub but with specialities that raised the bar. The service was excellent although you had to collect your own cutlery if you ate outside. The food we had was good and well presented. Dogs were welcome... More

This is a review of the pub/restaurant. We live fairly locally so I cannot comment on the accommodation. Over the past 2/3 years we have eaten at this pub once or twice a month, usually on a Sunday evening. We often take visiting family with us, and have used the restaurant as a couple to celebrate special occasions. The choice... More

Very limited evening menu and a bit pricey. Surprised not to find a selection of salads in June. The menu was all hot dishes. Not what you want on a summer evening.

Sunday lunch with the family, on a showery spring day. Spacious car-park. A pleasant welcome as we entered the building. Simply laid table, with fresh flower in a vase. Quick and attentive service from the good number of staff. The tables are well spaced. Extensive menu, plus specials board, including one just for the fish. We all decided on traditional... More

Friendly welcome, well cooked beef and vegetables, feisty horseradish and a well kept pint of HSB. Our second visit this year, and we will no doubt return.

The Fisherman's Haunt is a country pub with a few rooms bookable. It is in a pleasant location outside of Christchurch and serves meals in a restaurant section. On my previous visits the pub restaurant has been unremarkable, but adequate. Today, the restaurant failed big time, in that it had, apparently, booked more diners than it could cope with. Several... Our room was very comfortable and there were several good, small touches, such as real coffee with a cafetiere. Staff were very helpful indeed. Our 'gamekeeper's pie' had plenty of tasty meat and we enjoyed the meal. Why, though, was a pint of bitter and a soft drink £8.29? At breakfast again, friendly staff and prompt service. Tea/coffee were both... More

I took my elderly mum and a couple of friends out for sunday lunch here. It was busy but the service was prompt and friendly. Despite the good selection on the menu 3 of our party decided to have the sunday roast - which was great. The meat was tender, roast potatoes well cooked, and a dish of 5 different... More
