A real taste of England

Baileys Tea Shop is rather like the tea shops of yesteryear. Waitresses in black with a frilly white pinafore, food well cooked and beautifully served. There aren't many eating establishments that serve proper tasting coffee - their decaf filter with hot milk is delicious. If only there was a... read more

On a day where it was pretty much impossible to leave Rammy without sliding all over the show due to deep snow, what better way to start the day than a good Sunday brunch/lunch? We had to go to the shop to buy stuff in to cook at home anyway, so thought it made no sense to do that. A... More

Went in on a cold day for a warming lunch. My partner and I had one each of the two soups of the day: both competed to be the most tasteless soup we've ever had.

This little teashop is at the top of a busy street. The service is good, the waitresses wearing victorian style serving clothing. The service is prompt and there is a fair selection of teas, coffess, hot chocolate aand so on. The specials board is worth a look, the food tasty and good value. The cakes are amazing I,m afraid, too... More

Have been going there for years, possibly only a couple of times a year, but the food is good, surroundings pleasant, staff very friendly and the fare represents value for money. Nice to have REAL tea!

Nice quaint little tearoom / cafe in Ramsbottom centre. Service friendly and efficient. Fantastic cooked English breakfast, very tasty sausages hit the mark. Great value at £6.90.

Love coming here for a cup of tea. Black pudding is good too but one's enough! Good selection of toast/crumpets etc in a an old fashioned setting which is probably just about about right for Ramsbottom.

A super cafe in Ramsbottom serving traditional fayre and real loose leaf tea at reasonable prices. The staff dress in victorian attire and are very friendly and attentive.

Full of LARP's playing at WWII and pouring with rain on a bank holiday weekend they serve a very good Bury Black Pudding and a fair cheese on toast. Very busy but quick and cheerful service. Would have been a 5 but the pastry on the mince and orange lattice was quite hard.

We tend to pop in here for a cup of tea whenever we are in Ramsbottom. It is a really traditional café with tea leaf rather than bag. It’s a bonus to have to use the strainer when pouring, the cinnamon in the toasted teacakes and the old fashion uniforms all remind you of times gone. Never eaten a lunch... More
