Wide range of food and friendly staff

Myself and a friend visited on a Friday evening. Large car park. Plentiful seating indoors and outdoors. Helpful and friendly staff. Wide range of food and drink. I ate soup for starters and fishcakes for mains, and drank a pint of Peroni. Free WiFi - ask staff for password.

We called on a Saturday lunchtime. The pub is situated on the busy A534 Wrexham to Nantwich Road and at the time of our visit was surprisingly quiet. We ate lunch which was good. The menu is varied and everything looked fresh. The landlord was very accommodating too and seems to make great efforts with Customer Service. The pub is... More

We'd not eaten here for a few years, so made a return visit. Food was excellent, but vegetarian options were few. I had the halloumi wrap off the lite bite menu, which was divine. The only veggie main on offer was cheese and onion pie, so the veggie choices are too limited, sadly. My other half had steak and ale... More

I love the halloumi wrap - please don't ever take this off the menu!!! Good service although it was a fairly quiet weekday evening.

Went quite late on a Sunday after booking a table - staff clearly couldn't be bothered. After 25 minutes sat there being ignored we left and went to a lovely place just round the corner. Shame as I was looking forward to it, I know it's hard after a busy day - however if you don't want the business -... More

The main part of the place looked quite good but the conservatory area could do with a complete makeover. In more salubrious establishments the eclectic mix of furnishings might work but here it looked a bit tatty. The table we sat at had been 'wiped over' so many times it was sticky, my jumper kept sticking to the table top.... More

Went here at lunchtime on Sunday. A really good looking, warm and welcoming inn right on the Sandstone trail, so is an excellent stop off/ starting point for a walk either before or after something to eat. We sat in the conservatory area looking out onto the garden and the hills. A lovely space with a really good amount of... More

We came to this restaurant for lunch over Christmas when we walked some of the sandstone Trail. There were 8 of us in total , 4 adults, 4 children. We did ring ahead to check the pub was open but I am sure they would have fitted us in anyway. There is a nice beer garden which I am sure... More

We came here after being told there was a 2 hour wait at a previous pub and had just missed the serving time. However the kind chef told us he would make us a meal. The other staff were so welcoming and helpful too! The food was delicious (I highly recommend the fish and chips!) and the atmosphere was fantastic.... More
