Amazing food, Fantastic customer service, you will not find another like it

After a 5 hour walk around the castle my family and I where thirsty and very hungry. By accident we called in at the sandstone only to have the best meal and traditional beer for a very long time. Spotlessly clean and really friendly staff they have definately made some new friends.

Had a great meal here, good veggie options, not the usual veg lasagne, etc I opted for a Halloumi and Hummus wrap - yummy! My husband had the pie which he said was excellent. Real ales also served which is a must these days. We had to sit in the bar area as we had our dog with us, but... More

Although I've been in the area for going on for 5 years I've only just started to eat at this delightful place. Food - very tasty with ample choice, Beers & Wines - spoilt for choice, Staff - can't do enough for you. All in all and very satisfying experience and I will be calling the Sandstone in the not... This was quite a nice pub, although fairly quiet considering it was peak time on a Sunday. The staff were friendly and helpful. The service was good. The food was nice but when the sea bass came with a salad it came with olives, which would have been fine, however they all had stones in them which was quite annoying... More

We arrived en mass as we were entertaining 17 French visitors. So there were 30 of us and Stuart gave us a talk on the brewing process for the micro brewery he runs as well as the Sandstone Inn. This was very informative, interesting and in parts very funny as we joined in the banter. The visual presentation was easy... More

I started going to the sandstone 4 years ago for my 50th birthday. The manager and staff went out of their way to make sure I had a night to remember. We took over the whole pub and we had a ball. Been for lunch during the week, Sunday lunch many times and always find the same gorgeous food. A... More

Nice welcome on arrival and asked where we would prefer to sit. Menu and wine list given straight away and drinks/food order taken promptly. Two of our party had the roast beef which was absolutely delicious - served pink, with lovely gravy, a crispy Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese and fresh, well cooked mixed seasonal veg. My only small niggle was... More

Myself and a friend visited on a Friday evening. Large car park. Plentiful seating indoors and outdoors. Helpful and friendly staff. Wide range of food and drink. I ate soup for starters and fishcakes for mains, and drank a pint of Peroni. Free WiFi - ask staff for password.

We called on a Saturday lunchtime. The pub is situated on the busy A534 Wrexham to Nantwich Road and at the time of our visit was surprisingly quiet. We ate lunch which was good. The menu is varied and everything looked fresh. The landlord was very accommodating too and seems to make great efforts with Customer Service. The pub is... More
