Heard a lot about this pub and it's food, have to say the bar experience is very poor, very bland bar, bar staff not very friendly with a poor bar menu on offer. Note we did not eat in the restaurant as we would have been the only people in the restaurant on the lunchtime we visited. It is a... More

Hello, thank you for your review, we are slightly confused as we do not have a bar menu as such, we have a lunch menu, & bar snacks on the blackboard. we are however very annoyed that children were running amok at the time of your visit, this is something we try to control at all times, but seem to... We recently found this pub on the way to Wye. Great setting on village green. We have enjoyed two Tuesday special lunches in July. Excellent food, friendly and professional service, wonderful value. Looking forward to next visit.

Visited on a Sunday for lunch having seen a write up in a local magazine. They are very competitively priced with three courses costing £12.95 which is very good value. The pub was not too busy as there were several major finals on TV and it was wet. The service was friendly and very efficient and we had a great... More

I've been to this pub many times before for a drink and after looking at the promising menu, my partner and I decided to give the food a go. The service was professional and friendly, I couldn't fault it. The lady behind the bar (I think her name is Bryony?) looked after us very well, making sure our drinks were... More

We found this place through Brit Stops and used it to stay overnight in our motorhome before going to France, very handy for the Tunnel. Super location in quiet part of village overlooking village green and cricket field. We ate in the pub, they were really busy with a big party but that did not stop them giving us excellent... More

Many thanks for your review. We are slightly confused as none of our staff can recall anyone asking to speak the landlady, (if someone had asked, they would have called myself the landlord who works in the kitchen). Also no staff members have mentioned ( or can recall) anybody complaining about our meat or vegetables. Many thanks, The Flying Horse... More

We took friends for the current Tuesday night fixed price menu offer and found it to be first class again!! Food quality has been consistently excellent on all visits and staff are always really friendly and efficient! Well worth the slight drive out of town to experience!

A wonderful surprise for my 40th birthday, We turned up around 12.30 (me blind folded) and I was greeted by my family in the pub (over 30 of them from all around the country) cheering and a glass of bubbly, after a lot of catching up and a nice choice of real ale we all went to the restaurant &...
