They now take bookings.

Haven't been to the Priory for a while. I have always liked the place but it was always bit hit or miss at busy times as to how long you would wait for a table. Now they accept bookings we booked for a Saturday evening and went with some friends. I really liked the place. Nice and warm... read more

I have been trying to call you for days to book a table and this is not the first time, you do not answer the phone, you have now missed out on a table of 10. The windmill here we come!

Travelling from Cornwall today back to Manchester decided to stop off at Priory which we have visited any times in the past. Was really shocked whe first walked in to be met by bar full of dirty glasses, tables left uncleared or clearly not wiped down. Ordered food and waited patiently for food, which has in the past been amazing!... More

Thursday 12/03/15. We were visiting the area to see family and they chose The Priory as it's local to them and they'd been there once or twice before. The reservation, made well in advance, could not be found, but no matter they eventually gave us a nice table after a bit of a wait. Prosecco and wine by the glass... More

As a Vintage Inn, you know that the food will be good, varied and not too expensive. Not the easiest place to find although it is very close to the M5 (Portishaed junction) and has reasonable off- and on-street parking. A good varirty of beers and ciders, and most tables are in the bar. Cosy atmosphere and warm in mid-winter.... More

Food was fine well cooked and service was both helpful and friendly. Part of Vintage inns which can be hit and miss but The Priory seemed well managed and was busy for a Monday lunch time. Would visit again

Great food at very good prices with a great ambience and atmosphere at lunch time for a business meeting, or meeting of friends. The service by the staff was very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant was full so booking in advance would be a good idea. Would highly recommend this venue for a good meal and choice of wine and... More

Myself and my family went here a few weeks ago to celebrate my birthday. I can honestly say it was really lovely. If you like cosy fireplace type pub/restaurants with real home cooked food, then this is the place for you.

Driving back from a short break in Cornwall we took a five minute detour off the M5 for lunch. We found a busy pub, with many diners- I think there was a deal on- but we were quickly fed and on our way. Good pub food and drinks, reasonable prices made the effort to dodge the usual Motorway Services fare... More

Friday night 4 of us with reservation.Made use of 25% discount card we had when we ate there in December. Food great 3 steaks and lamb shank would gladly have the same again One caveat beware of sitting at table near fire exit as when opened cause a cold draught However our waitress spotted this apologised and said we could...
